SHE PERFORMANCE STANDARDS


GENERAL MANAGER

ACTIVITY FREQUENCY
 Takes responsibility for the organisation’s SHE performance and approves SHE Annually
objectives, targets and management programmes on an annual basis.
 Ensures effective Development and implementation of the SHE policy, including Annually

improvement.
 Form part of the team that reviews the SHEMS.
 Ensures that a process is in place that will evaluate legal compliance. Annually

Systems through appropriate decision-making and assigning of responsibility for

 Ensures that responsibilities and authorities of individuals are defined and
communicated within the organization.
 Ensures that the resources essential for the implementation of the SHE
management system and the achievement of the company and organisation’s Quarterly
objectives and targets are identified, appropriate and available. This includes
resources for operation and improvement of the SHE management system. Annually
 Authorise the internal audits as per the audit programmes.
 Review results of internal and external audits and provide recommendations for
improvement if required.
 Approves external communication and documents. Annually
 Communicates significant SHE issues to the Head of Environmental
Management and Corporate Affairs. Annually
 Ensures that environmental aspects and occupational health and safety risks
are managed in line with legislative requirements. Annually
