At the end of 1 hour period, the students will be able to:
1. Identify sentences as active or passive;
2. Rewrite sentences from active to passive and passive to active;
3. Appreciate the lesson by defining what an active and passive voice is.

1. Motivation
The teacher will post set of
sentences in a form of active and
passive voice on the board. Let the
students notice what’s the
difference between the sentences
given is.
2. Presentation
The teacher will explain what’s the
difference between the two is.
3. Discussion
 Active voice – the object receives
the action of the verb
[doer of action] + [verb] +
[receiver of action]

Baldo drives the cart.
The carabao eats the grass.

 Passive voice – the subject

receives the action of the verb.
[receiver of action] + [be] + [past

 The object of the verb becomes the

subject of the passive verb.
