SUBJECT : ADDITIONAL ADVISORY ON THE COMPOSITION OF

BARANGAY CONTACT TRACING TEAMS

DATE : JULY 30, 2020

In line with the Advisory dated July 21,2020 re: Quarantine Requirements for COVID-19
Cases and the Creation of Contact Tracing Teams at the Barangay Level which directs
all barangays to create their own Contact Tracing Teams (CTTs), the Local Chief
Executives may follow the composition of Barangay Health Emergency Response Team
(BHERT) as provided for by DILG Memorandum Circular 2003-95 which is composed of:
One (1) Barangay Tanod member,
Two (2) Barangay Health Workers, one of whom is preferably a nurse or
Midwife.

This is in addition to other members that the LCE may designate and in coordination with
the City/Municipality Health Officer and/or their respective LESUs.
With this, kindly enjoin all Local Chief Executives in your respective jurisdiction to create
their respective Barangay Contact Tracing Teams (CTTs) the soonest. Attached is the
Memorandum from SILG Aňo dated July 30,2020 for your information and reference.
