I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standard The learner demonstrates understanding of:

1. The portrayal of Jesus Christ in the four Gospels narration

B. Performance Standard The learner is able to:

1. express their deep understanding of the life of Jesus and deepen their
desire to grow their faith in Christ
C. Learning Competencies / DOCTRINE:

 Enumerate the different people whom Jesus encountered in His
earthly life

 Enumerate situations that Jesus is present in our daily living

 Appreciate that Jesus humanity is essential to His being our Savior
“Believe that Jesus’ Divinity is equally essential to His being our

 Draw and post a symbol of Jesus’ quality that they can imitate “Make

APPROACHES
A. Acquisition The teacher will introduce the First topic through the given activities:
Brain Storming
 The teacher will have a short review of the previous topic and make a
connection between the two
 The teacher will ask the students to recite the Angelus through the
following questions:
- What do we remember or pray about whenever we say the
Angelus? (Incarnation of Jesus)
- What does “incarnation” mean?
 The teacher will gather and summarize the answers through
stressing the following:
“Incarnation means externalization”
B. Meaning Making The teacher will discuss and elaborate the topic, and then students will make
use of the activity below to clarify their learning.
Socratic Method
 The teacher will discuss the Humanity of Jesus pages 23-24 on the
textbook and the teacher will ask the following questions:
- Is Jesus truly human?
- Is He truly divine?
- What do we mean when we say Jesus is both human and divine?
 The teacher will summarize the answers of the students by stressing
the following concept:
“Jesus was a Jew who lived in the particular point in history and in
specific society . . .. “
Video Analysis
 The teacher will let the students to see the movie about the life of
Jesus here on earth
 The movie will be guided by the following questions:
- Why we discuss the people, culture, and religious practices
during the time of Jesus?
 The teacher will let the students answer this question in one-minute
paper
 The teacher will discuss the time of Jesus pages 24-33 on the book
 The teacher will let the students show the video clip about the Good
Samaritan
 The teacher will identify the people who are involved in the story and
have it discussed by the students in a group through the following
questions:
- What are the actions of the people involved in the story?
- Why did they ignore the wounded man?
- What do you think of their response to the situation?
Socratic Method
 The teacher will summarize the answers of the students in the
following concepts:
“By making a Samaritan a hero of the parable, . . .”
 The teacher will discuss the Jewish prayer life, Jesus, the Torah and
their impact on our Christian Liturgy today
C. Transfer To have an in-depth transfer of learning, the teacher will guide the students
as they cater the activities below.
Picture Analysis
 The teacher will let the students to summarize the discussion through
individual drawing of Jesus’ quality that we can imitate and let them
explain their work in the class
