RESOLUTION REQUESTING TO AMMEND THE LOCAL CHILDREN CODE OF

LUBANG, OCCIDENTAL MINDORO,

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Lubang recognizes that children are important assets of

society and it is only when children are able to exercise their rights that they develop their full
potentials;

WHEREAS, there is a need to codify the laws relating to children’s rights to apply particularly
to the Municipality of Lubang;

WHEREAS, there is a need to coordinate the various existing government agencies and non-
government agencies (NGOs) in providing services for children in Lubang, Occidental
Mindoro;

WHEREAS, children are considered the “Hope of the Future Generation”; however, the most
vulnerable sector of our society;

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Lubang recognizes that children are important assets of our
society and should be given a decent quality life and it is only when they are able to exercise
their rights that they could develop their full potentials;

WHEREAS, in keeping with its duties and commitment to uphold the rights and well-being of
children, the Municipal Government of Lubang deems it necessary to adopt measures and
address these needs;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of ________________ seconded by __________________,

be it resolved as it is hereby resolves
RESOLVED FINALLY, that copy of this resolution be furnished the Honorable Mayor,
Department of Social Welfare and Development and all other offices concerned for their
information and appropriate action.
