Process Improvement Engineer (Dec 2019 through Jun 2020)


 Expanded the Reactex fiber area to double production, added a modified oven with larger
infeed, designed a larger fiber hopper prototype, designed automatic spray station
 Assumed responsibility for QA in March: managed inspections and product testing in 3
international locations, returned products and customer complaints oversight. Began
evaluating corporate readiness for a QMS. Successfully navigated COVID-related challenges
working remotely.

Engineering Consultant (Jul 2019 through Dec 2019)


 Designed, prototyped, justified, purchased and implemented all aspects of an innovative
process: spray PCM onto loose polyester fiber, dry and store the finished Reactex fiber
mixture, and work with production to modify production methods to accommodate the new
fiber. Very challenging design constraints required engaging vendors to adapt their products in
new ways to our application.
 In-house expert on the process – relied upon by sales & marketing for product education.

Field Service Engineering Manager (4/09 through 4/19)


 Warranty – Responsible for corporate warranty budget. Reported weekly progress, directed
claim-review process, and negotiated reimbursement rates. Analyzed the claimed defects to
drive product improvement and service center performance.
 Legal Representative – Point person on dozens of subrogation claims and lawsuits.
Successfully defended E/One in most instances and mitigated exposure in the others through
researching the issue and explanation during depositions.

 Certified Installation/Startup Web-App – Designed and released a web-based application with


external developers that helps to insure proper product installation, startup, and site
inspections (apps.eone.com) to reduce service calls and increase customer satisfaction.
 Pressure Switch Corrective Action Plan – Coordinated the replacement of pressure switches in
operational pumps all over the world due to a product deficiency. This required locating and
replacing product in wide-ranging installations.
 Training – Developed a multi-media training program including literature, presentations (in-
person and webinars), web-based training, and video.

Field Service Manager (3/04 through 4/09)


 Certified Service – Designed and developed an annual program to certify outside technicians
and service organizations to increase the overall quality of the pressure sewer market.
Benchmarking led to best practices in inventory management, equipment, training, etc.
 Hot Springs – Managed a remote team that was responsible for replacing 1,000 competitors
pumps with E/One pumps.
 Extreme Series Pumps – Managed the literature development and training needs of all outside
service centers to support the new pump introduction in July 2007.
Manufacturing Engineer (from 12/00 through 2/04)
 6-Sigma Black Belt – Attended Wave XI through Wyman Gordan and completed a project
that reduced wiring defects in our pumps in June 2004. Improvement generated over $20K in
savings.
 Fastenal VMI – Implemented inventory management of consumables utilizing KanBan and
two-bin systems
 Building Expansion – Heavily involved in redesigning product flow and manufacturing areas
during the E/One expansion in May 2003. This project involved evaluation and purchase of
many pieces of equipment (fork truck, pallet flow racks, cranes, foam machine, roll-up door,
work benches, conveyor, etc.).
