Information

A Properties:
1. Category of waste : SW 305
2. Origin : Discard lubricating oil
3. Physical properties of waste
- Physical state at 20° c : liquid
- Solubility in water : Non solubility
- Volatility : Non volatility
- Density (compare to water) : Lighter than water
- Flammability : Non flammability
4. Risks
- By inhalation : By inhalation of vapours will cause an unwell feeling, headache, cough
and there will be a risk of getting brain and nerve damages.
- By Oral Intake :
Due to the form of the waste, the risk of oral intake will be minimal or
- By Dermal Contact : non-existing. By dermal contact, the waste will dry out the
Skin and cause blushing. If the waste catch fire, there will be produced
irritating and/or poisonous vapours.
B Handling Of Waste:
1. Personal protection equipment : Gloves (if required), Respirator, adequate ventilation
2. Procedures / precaution in : Prevent from spillage or leakage of scheduled waste into the
handling, packaging, transporting and environment.

C Precautions In Case Of Spill Or Accidental Discharge Causing Personal Injury:
1. In case of inhalation of fumes or :
Symptoms of intoxication will be an unwell feeling, nausea, headache,
oral intake coughing and vomiting. Remove the victim into fresh air. Do not give
unconscious persons water or make them vomit. If the victim is not
breathing, apply artificial respiration. Oral intake of waste is unlikely to
occur.
2. In case of dermal contact or eyes : Symptoms of intoxication may be blushing, a dry sensation of the skin
and stings in the eyes. Contaminated clothes, watches, jewellery etc.
Must carefully but immediately be removed. If contamination of eyes
occurs, flush the eyes with plenty of water. Always seek medical care in
case of injury to the eyes.
D Steps To Be Taken In Case Of Spill Or Accident Discharge Causing Material Damage Arising From
1. Spill on floor, soil, road etc : As per EQSWR (scheduled waste) regulation,2005)
2. Spill into water : As per EQSWR (scheduled waste) regulation,2005)
3. Fire : Appropriate action avoid impact to environment
