This module focuses on writing an ending to the story listened
to. It is as important as writing the beginning of the story. Proper
orientation to the pupils is a must. Please let them know also to use
separate sheets in answering all the activities in this module.

This module for English is prepared for you to enhance your
skills and gain development in whatever you missed and find
difficult in English lesson. You will use your writing skills, thinking skills,
spelling, and correct grammar skills in answering all the activities
found in this module. Some of the activities are challenging but
enjoying, so try harder to answer it and for sure you will gain a lot
and improve your learning skills in English subject. I hope you will

LEARNING ABOUT IT

It is story time
Energy level check! (show me your two thumbs up if
you are still with me) thank you learner! This story has
something to do with your activity today. So, listen carefully
as your partner-at-home reads the story aloud.

Do you have a bike? What do you do if the tire is flat?


In the story, what was the problem of the girl? How did
she solve her problem? Do you like the ending of the story?
Let us find out!

Leah wanted to ride her bike. She went outside her


house to get on her bike. But when she got outside and
looked at it, she saw that she had a flat tire. Leah knew that
she could not ride her bike with a flat tire.
So, Leah found a tire pump in her garage. She pumped
up the tire until it was full of air.

Let us check how well did you understand the story.

3. How did Leah fix her problem?
4. What did she do to find a solution to her problem?
5.If you will be given the chance to end the story,

Finding the character’s problem and solution will


help you understand and remember a story better. And
it will be easy for you give the ending or your own
ending. So, it is a good thing for you to do as a reader.

The 3 key terms in writing an ending of a


story are conclusion, problem and solution.
A conclusion is the last part of
something or what we call ending. Ending/
conclusion is important because it is what the
reader remembers most. A problem is
something that happens that you need to fix.
The solution is what you need to do to fix the
problem.
