She is Nanay Fortuna Generosa. She is a farmer and has a
big farm. She likes to share her fruits and vegetables. This morning, she
gathered 8 dalandans. She is thinking of giving these to four good
children.
How will Nanay Fortuna Generosa separate 8 dalandans for
the 4 children? How many will each child get? Ask the pupils to make
a guess. Call four pupils in front. Have them stand in a row. Give each
child one
dalandan at a time until all the dalandans are given away. Does each
child have the same number of dalandans? What is ¼ of 8? Check the
pupils guess. Award the dalandan to those who had guessed it right.
What can you say about Nanay Fortuna Generosa.? Is it good to share
what you have to others?
