Introduction

The aft lavatory is located in the aft galley work area. It provides the
passengers and flight crew with minimum environmental conditions for
their personal hygiene during the flight.

General Description

These systems relate to the aft lavatory:

• GRAY WATER (AMM SDS 38-31-00/1)

• POTABLE WATER (AMM SDS 38-10-00/1)

• WASTE DISPOSAL (AMM SDS 38-30-00/1)

• VACUUM WASTE SYSTEM (AMM SDS 38-32-00/1)

• AIR CONDITIONING (AMM SDS 21-00-00/1)

• PASSENGER OXYGEN SYSTEM (AMM SDS 35-20-00/1)

• SMOKE DETECTION SYSTEM (AMM SDS 26-10-00/1)

• LAVATORY LOUDSPEAKER (AMM SDS 44-12-00/1)

• ATTENDANT CALL INDICATORS (AMM SDS 33-24-00/1)

• LAVATORY LIGHTS (AMM SDS 33-28-00/1)

The lavatory also contains these components:
• LAVATORY FLOOR FINISHING (AMM SDS 25-24-00/1)

• LAVATORY DOOR

• TOILET SHROUD
The lavatory has an indication system that makes it easy for the aircraft
occupants to know when there is someone using the lavatory (AMM
SDS 33-23-00/1).

Components AFT LAVATORIES - AFT LAVATORY

COMPONENTS (Continued)
The aft lavatory is accessed by means of one hinged door that is locked

by a latch. The perimeter of the aft lavatory is sealed to avoid the
contamination of the other parts of the aircraft with water. There are 15 Slide latch cover
some doors inside the aft lavatory that give access to potable water and
other lavatory plumbing, storage compartment, waste compartment and
