Thesis statement: Private coaching business in education in Bangladesh has been caused by
students not understanding different subjects in a crowded class and some dishonest teachers
trying to earn more, which resulted in students becoming dependent on coaching classes.
Topic Sentence:1- Due to crowded classes, student not understanding different topics is one
of the reason of the emergence of private coaching.

 Cause and Effect of Private Coaching Business in Bangladesh
School and Colleges has been teaching us, preparing us for higher studies for ages now.
Attending classes regularly and studying hard was the way to do well in the exam. But in
recent times, emergence of private coaching business in Bangladesh has been a curse for the
education system. Private coaching Business in education in Bangladesh has been caused by
students not understanding different subjects in a crowded class and some dishonest teachers
trying to earn more, which resulted in students becoming dependent on coaching classes.

Due to crowded classes, students not understanding different topics is one of the reason of
emergence of private coaching. Bangladesh is a over-populated country. So,
school/classrooms are filled with students. The Teacher sometimes unable to handle all the
childrens. As a result, many students cannot take help personally from the teacher. That topic
remains unknown to them.

Another reason would be, some dishonest teachers trying to earn more. Teachers in
school/college are not paid sufficiently. So teachers deliberately teach less so that students
have to join the private coaching class of that teacher. Sometimes, Teachers forces students to
join private tuitions in return of extra monthly charge. Students not being able to understand
in classes, are compelled to join private tutions.

Private coaching business has made students dependent on private coaching classes outside
school/college. As the students are dependent coaching classes, they are reluctant to attend
classes of school/college. These classes are losing importance in their lives. Students
nowadays are choosing to stay at home or coaching classes rather than attending classes at
school.

There should not be a business made out of education. If education becomes a business it
loses its importance. The private coaching business needs to stop right now. Govt. needs to
take necessary steps to stop attending coaching classes. Classes at school/college should be
the only way to do well in exams.

Response Essay:

The Dangers of Tobacco

A recent report published at The Daily Star in February 24th of this year, discusses a study
which is about the dangers caused by tobacco. The study shows tobacco users are vulnerable
to different types of cancer. They are also responsible for other diseases. The treatment cost
as well as the Government’s expense on the health sector resulted a great economic loss in
countries economy. I totally agree with the facts stated in the study that tobacco causes health
hazards and economic loss and it needed to stopped.
The study describes that tobacco users are in the risk of developing cancers. The study was
conducted on 10000 families and results are alarming. People who are in the middle age,
suffers from different tobacco related diseases. The study also stated that tobacco is not
contributing in the economy of the country. The study also suggests increasing tobacco price
and implementing law may reduce tobacco usage.
Tobacco and tobacco related products are dangerous for the people who are using as well as
the people near them. It is time for the government to start taking hard decisions and start
implementing law properly.
