The Indian Law Institute is the only Autonomous body under Ministry of Law & Justice, Government of
India, having the Unique Status amongst the available more than 1500 Law Colleges/ University in India in terms of
imparting the legal education and legal research to promote advanced studies and Legal approach in the jurisdiction of
law for the Hon’ble Judges, Judicial Officers, Vice Chancellors of National Law University, Police Officers, Prisoner
Officers, Media Personal and Research Scholars.The Institute Library is one of the leading law libraries in Asia and
attracts scholars from all over the world for legal research. The University Grants Commission has recognized the
library as a place for legal research leading to doctorate degree in law. The Library contains around 82500 volumes and
receives about 190 current legal periodicals including serial publications. The Indian Law Institute is the only
Autonomous Institution of Higher Legal Research under Central Government with PAN India presence (with 17 State
Units being run by State High Courts. The Institute assessed with ‘A’ Grade by NAAC and granted Graded Autonomy
(Grade – II) by the UGC.
Learning Objective
The primary objective of this workshop is to introduce MOOCs pedagogy and the open source MOOCs platforms
to various stakeholders. Participants will develop their insights into the challenges and potentials of
MOOCs. They will acquire practical understanding of the existing open source MOOCs platforms,
which helps them to develop effective MOOCs suited for their audience. Some other objectives are:
How to create and Teach MOOCs with novel Pedagogy process.
Various steps involve in Designing and delivery of online and MOOCs Courses
Examine strength and Weakness of online platform and best practices of MOOCs

Participation Certificate will be issued only to those who attend all the sessions
Participants who can commit to attend all sessions only need to apply for this program
Participants should come with the Laptop (preferably)
Out station participants required to arrange their own accommodation however they may try for Institute guest
house on paying the requisite charges subjected to availability of rooms.
