CREATION OF COVID 19 CONTACT TRACING TEAM OF BARANGAY NAGUITUBAN, SAN JUAN, LA


UNION

WHEREAS, Article II, Section 15 of the 1987 Philippine Constitution declares that the State shall protect and promote
the right to health of the people and still consciousness among them;

WHEREAS, Section 16, of the Local Government Code of 1991 provides, every local government unit shall exercise
the power expressly granted, those necessarily implied there from, as well as power necessary, appropriate, or
incidental for its efficient and effective governance and those which are essential to the promotion of the general
welfare;

WHEREAS, Republic Act 11469 or the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act has placed the country in a State of National
Emergency and all Local Government Units (LGUs) are directed to be on a state of preparedness and take all pro-
active steps to stop the spread of the Coronavirus Disease2019 (COVID-19);

WHEREAS, the Department of Health issued Department Memorandum No. 2020-189 dated April 17, 2020 providing
for the Updated Guidelines on Contact Tracing of Close Contact of Confirmed Coronavirus Disease2019 (COVID-19)
Cases.

WHEREAS, the Department of the Interior and Local Government issued MC No. 2020-073 dated April 13, 2020
providing for the guidelines for the conduct of expanded testing procedures for COVID-19 and directing LGUs to
create Contact Tracing Team (CTT);

WHEREAS, local transmission posed greater chances for the COVID-19 to spread;

NOW THEREFORE, I ALEX A. EBREO, Punong Barangay of Naguituban, San Juan, La Union, by virtue of the power
vested in me by the law, do hereby order:

SECTION 1: Composition. The CTT shall be composed of the following:

SECTION 2: Duties and Functions. The CTT shall perform the following:
 2.1 conduct contact tracing to those with known exposure to a COVID 19 patient to ensure that they are
strictly observing home-quarantine measures.

 2.2 Monitor the status of suspected and probable COVID 19 individuals, their family member with known
contact to a confirmed case to mitigate possibility of contagion;

 2.3 Report daily update to the COVID-19 Municipal Task Force and Municipal Contact Tracing Team;

 2.4 Conduct barangay-wide prevention, containment and control information campaign to educate the
public;

 2.5 Perform such other functions as may be prescribed by law.

SECTION 3. Funding (optional-chargeable against the 5% DRRM fund).

SECTION 4. Effectivity. This order shall take effect immediately.
