EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 17

CREATION OF THE BARANGAY CONTACT TRACING TEAM (BCTT)

OF BARANGAY MABAYUAN, OLONGAPO CITY

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 15, Article 2 of the 1987 Philippine

Constitution and Section 16 (General Welfare Clause, of RA 7160, otherwise known
as the Local Government Code of 1991, local government units (LGUs) are charged
with the promotion of health and safety within their jurisdictions;

WHEREAS, pursuant to DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2020-07 dated 24

April 2020, all Local Government Units (LGUs), through their respective Local Task
Forces against COVID-19 are tasked to designate members of the contact tracing
teams;

WHEREAS, per DILG Advisory dated 21 July 2020, with the subject
“Quarantine Requirements for COVID-19 Cases and the Creation of Contact Tracing
Teams at the Barangay Level”, all barangays are directed to create their own
Contact Tracing Teams (CTTs);

WHEREAS, DILG issued Memorandum dated 30 July 2020 for the additional
advisory on the composition of Barangay Contact Tracing Teams;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Hon.EDWIN M. ESPOSO Punong Barangay,

Barangay Mabayuan, Olongapo City, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do
hereby order:

SECTION 1. Creation of Barangay Contact Tracing Team (BCTT). – There is

hereby created Barangay Contact Tracing Team (BCTT) in Barangay Mabayuan,
Olongapo City, to be composed of the following:

Section 2. Duties and Functions of BCTT. The BCTT shall perform the
following functions:

a) Conduct contact tracing and identify all persons in the barangay with known
exposure to a COVID-19 patient;

b) Ensure that persons with known exposure to a COVID-19 patient are strictly
observing appropriate home quarantine measures or are properly situated in a
government-managed isolation facilities;

c) Monitor the status of probable, suspected, and confirmed cases within the
barangay, including family members with known contact to a confirmed case to
mitigate the spread of the virus; and

d) Submit daily status report to the Punong Barangay.

Section 3. Funding. The amount of Twenty Thousand Pesos ( ₱20, 000.00)

for the operations of the BCTT shall be taken from the 5% Calamity Fund of the
barangay.

Section 4. Effectivity. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.

Issued this day 26th day of August 2020 at Barangay Mabayuan, Olongapo
