On my trip I would take this

-1. Microfiber towel

The microfiber towel is very practical. It allows me to save space and dries pretty fast.

Usually, in the accommodations they give you the towel, so I do not always use it.

That's why weight is a very important factor for me.

For the beach, I got used to carrying out a pareo.

The microfiber towel for use for the face, love in the sand.

It is also very functional if you go to the pool. In the pool, I do not wear pareo, because it seems
too easy for the direct sun rays in the sand.

In the photo you can clearly see the space saving.

From left to right: normal towel, light terry towel, microfiber towel, beach pareo.

-2. Clothing

Clothing is always the eternal dilemma!

I always try to travel as light as possible. It is not so difficult if you get used to going to layers.

The short-sleeved shirt is perfect if you wear an open shirt over the top. It becomes a stylish
combination of long sleeves.

Normally, I calculate underwear and socks for travel days and add an extra change for what may
happen. Unless you are traveling for an undetermined time.
If I go a long season, I reduce the underwear and socks to 6-7, because I calculate that I will wash it
on the way.

What's in my suitcase?

7 socks

Underwear * A spare underwear always carry in hand luggage, in case I lose the suitcase.

6 short sleeve cotton t-shirts

1 jeans and 1 skirt

2-3 light dresses

1 sweater and 1 sweatshirt

1 bikini and 1 swimsuit

jacket / coat / raincoat

leggings (useful for sports, long trips, and even as sleeping pants)

footwear (maximum 3 pairs counting with flip flops)

-3. Organizers / packing cubes

To keep my suitcase always organized, I use packing cubes.

The packing cubes are organizers for the suitcase that will help you maintain order.

In my opinion, they are truly miraculous!

The garments are kept folded and organized.

You do not have to undo the entire suitcase to take out a shirt.

You only get the packing cube where you have it.

Then, you just have to add the packing cube again in the suitcase. It's that simple
As you are putting your clothes in the packing cubes, the clothes will always be organized.

My favorite is the packing cube of the image, which is a packing cube compressor.

The clothes are more compressed, which takes up less space.

In my suitcase, I have several models and colors of packing cubes.

You can discover the models and details on how to organize the suitcase.

I quickly identify the packing cube that I want to take out, I take what I need and I leave the
organizer in the suitcase again.

I show you here my favorite packing cube. The first image is before closing the zipper that
compresses the clothes, the second image is once compressed.

4. Flip-flops

The flip flops are for me a very important element.

I use them for the pool, for the beach and even as slippers to be at home.

I try to buy that are also wearable for day to day and can use them as shoes.

5. Basic first aid kit

You always have to carry a basic kit for what can happen. Especially on long trips, or to tropical
countries.

Find a case that is waterproof and resistant, like this Lokauf kit.

In the kit you can not miss:

your medicines

gauze

betadine

strips

analgesics

pills for diarrhea

insect repellent

antibacterial gel

antihistamines

6. Waterproof backpack

A waterproof backpack (waterproof backpack / also known as dry bag) serves me for many things:

be able to carry the mobile during aquatic activities

waterproof my photographic equipment

separate dirty clothes from clean

The waterproof backpack retains the smell of dirty clothes.

The rest of my clothes and backpack keep their smell clean.

7. Money and cards

Without money you do not get very far. I always carry some cash in Euros, even if I go to another
country.

You can always change it in case of need to the local currency (eye, only tickets will change you).

Probably, you will spend some coins even before arriving at the airport.

Keep in mind the following: If you travel to another country, you may want to take money to
change once you have arrived. Or maybe you prefer to use your card and withdraw money from
the ATM.
In my case, if I travel in Europe, I worry only about having my card.

I can take out any ATM without any cost.

8. Reusable water bottle

A reusable water bottle always travels with me.

When I arrive at my accommodation, I buy bottled water in the largest possible format and fill my
water bottle.

It is a gesture towards the planet on my part.

9. Mobile

Something that most of us can not survive even one day.

The mobile is not only useful to communicate with family and friends.

Most times we use it to take photos, videos, or search for information.

10. Documentation

Documented travel is mandatory. If you do not have your passport or DNI in order, they will not let
you get on the plane. Make sure before leaving the house that you carry the documentation with
you, it would be a shame to end your vacation before you even start them because you have not
checked in time your ID or passport.

Also, just in case, it would be nice to also have a photocopy of it in case of loss or theft. You will
not be able to travel with a photocopy, but it could facilitate the procedures. And you also have to
keep in mind the documentation, if necessary, to enter the country like the ESTA in the United
States.
