ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

First, the researchers would like to give the praises and

thanks to the God, the Almighty, for His showers of blessings

throughout research work to complete the research successfully.

We would like to express our deep and sincere gratitude to

our research teacher Mrs. Mae Rose S. Macasling, for giving us

the opportunity to do research and providing invaluable guidance

throughout this research. Her dynamism, vision, sincerity and

motivation have deeply inspired us in this project. The

researchers would also like to thank the institutions that made

these manuscripts available, specifically the Cadiz City library.

Without their collections this research quite literally would not

have been possible, and we are grateful to them for opportunity

that they have provided for us and all other researchers.

Great deals appreciated go to the contribution of all our

friends for their assistances in our data collection.

The researchers would also want to send their appreciation

to all the research participants. Without their valuable opinions

and ideas on the interviews, the research would not have been

completed.
Last but not least, we would like to express our

indebtedness to our parents who have given their constant support

throughout the research.

ABSTRACT
The study determined the positive and negative effects of

hyper-Parenting to the students and how it influenced the

academic performance of Grade 11 senior high school students of

Dr. Vicente F. Gustilo Memorial National High School. It also

identified if it helps or it hovers the student’s academic

performance.

The study used phenomenology as a research design for it

studies the personal experiences of a student. The conversation

partners selected for this study using purposive sampling were

the Grade 11 Academic track senior high school students.

Results showed that hyper-parenting has a negative effect on

the emotional state of a student but does not directly have a

negative influence on the academic performance of a child but

rather it helps the student to strive more and perform better in

their academics.
