6.1 Spot welding monitor

[Description of operation]
Spot welding monitor is displayed when desired to know various information on
spot welding at a real time.

[1] Prior to operation


(1) Spot welding monitor:
This is a monitor screen to confirm weld result or welder interface status etc. at a real
time.
(2) Open [Monitor1: Spot welding monitor] screen.
Press [Spot monitor] (f3 key) and then the following screen is opened.

No. Item Contents


1 Weld result monitor Weld result is displayed at a real time and its records can be
referred.
2 Welder I/F monitor Communication status with welder, abnormal communication or
welder’s error message in welding, etc. are displayed at real time.
3 Welder DPR I/O monitor I/O status of welder DPR is displayed at a real time.
4 Voltage & channel Line voltage and analog channel are displayed at a real time.

[3] Weld result monitor


(1) Select Weld result monitor on [Monitor 1: Spot welding monitor] screen.

Move the cursor to [1 Weld


Result monitor].

SET
Weld result monitor is displayed.

f10:One previous weld result is displayed.

f11: Next weld result is displayed while


previous weld result is being
displayed.
f12:Previous weld result is displayed by
designating its No.

Note The latest weld result is displayed by canceling monitor active status.
This is the status of which title bar is displayed blue-reversed.

[4] Welder I/F monitor


(1) Select Welder I/F monitor on [Monitor 1: Spot welding monitor] screen.

Move the cursor to “2 Welder


I/F monitor”.

Welder I/F monitor is displayed.

6.1 Spot welding monitor

This is not displayed if the board is not installed.


This is displayed when the board is connected
correctly.“Abnormal” is displayed if something wrong
and thus make initialization at this time.

There are two types of error displayed : Alert in


addition to the above Fault.

Please refer to Chapter 3, 3.12 Parameter sequence initialize for


initialization. And refer to 3.7 Welder parameter setting for Fault and Alert.

[5] Welder DPR I/O monitor


(1) Select Welder DPR I/O monitor on [Monitor 1: Spot welding monitor] screen.

Move the cursor to [3 Welder


DPR I/O monitor].

Welder DPR I/O monitor is displayed.

Input from AW Output to AW

These monitors are displayed in yellow depending on the following status.


Abnormal sig. reset signal
Ready to weld Alert(Minor)
ON
Isolation contact signal OFF Weld ON Fault(Major) normal
Control stop signal OFF Weld complete Weld in progress
Shunt trip active

[6] Voltage & channel monitor


(1) Select Voltage & channel monitor on [Monitor: Spot welding monitor] screen.

Move the cursor to “4 Voltage &


Channel monitor.”

SET
Voltage & Channel monitor is displayed.

Line sync. : Indicating if connected to welder or


not and [In sync] represents
connected.
Line voltage : Voltage running presently through
welder.
Line frequency : Frequency
1: Current
2: Voltage (Value: value of current and voltage respectively)

Channel No. and No. of analog value displayed on the channel monitor vary
with number of input and output.
