A RESOLUTION FOR THE SCHEDULE OF THE REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE

PARLIAMENT EVERY SATURDAYS OF THE FIRST SEMESTER FOR A.Y. 2019-2020

WHEREAS, the Central Philippine University Republic as the highest governing student body in
the university is mandated to uphold its objectives and programs to serve the studentry;

WHEREAS, Central Philippine University Republic 15th Parliament has a legislative power, thus
making the Members of the Parliament responsible in crafting Resolutions and Parliament Acts;

WHEREAS, it is stated in Section 1, Rule VIII of the Internal Rules of Procedure of Central
Philippine University Republic for A.Y. 2019-2020 that, “The parliament shall convene once a
week for the first and second semester.”.;

WHEREAS, the regular meeting shall be scheduled every Saturday, 9am onwards depending on
the time of the adjournment;

WHEREAS, there is a special consideration to those Members of Parliament who have religious
activities and cannot attend to the said schedule;

WHEREAS, Resolution 2019 – 005, a Resolution for the House Rules shall take effect to those
who fail to attend the regular meetings;

NOW THEREFORE, upon motion of MP Roselle Joanne Ochona duly seconded by MP Aldrin
Babayen-on, BE IT:

RESOLVED that a Resolution for the Schedule of the Regular Meetings of the Parliament every
Saturdays of the First Semester for A.Y. 2019-2020 be approved/passed.
RESOLVED FURTHER, to furnish copies of this resolution to the Office of the CPUR President,
CPUR Prime Minister and the Parliament.
