Ignition Test Checklist

9 HMA is heated for 45 mins in furnace at 540 ± 5˚C    

10 sample is removed and cooled for atleast 10 mins    

mass of sample after ignition is measured and recorded to

nearest 0.1g

sample is reheated for atleast 15 mins after furnace  

12 reaches the set point temprature then removed and  
cooled for atleast 10 mins

Quality Assurance Checklist

 13 mass of sampe is measured and recorded    

14 sample does not exceed 0.01%of the initial sampe mass    

15 mass of the sample after ignition is recorded    

16 documentation of exercise
