BOQ DESCRIPTION OF SINGLE COMPONENT LIQUID APPLIED POLYURETHANE

WATERPROOFING SYSTEM USING ELASTOROOF PU

1 Waterproofing Treatment using ELASTOROOF PU UOM RATE

Providing and applying primer + 2 coats of Liquid applied, Single


component polyurethane waterproofing membrane ELASTOROOF PU
of M/s. Sunanda Speciality Coatings to be applied at consumption of
1.5 Kg/sqm. Apply primer on cleaned RCC surface with the help of
brush or roller and allow it to dry for min 3-4 hrs. After primer has
dried apply 1st coat at dosage of 1 kg per Sq.mtr. Allow it to dry for
min 24 hrs. After first coat has dried apply second coat at dosage of
0.5 kg per Sqm. After second coat Geotextile fabric 150gsm shall be
laid over the entire membrane keeping minimum overlap of 50-
100mm.

Liquid applied, Single component polyurethane waterproofing


membrane ELASTOROOF PU by M/s. Sunanda Speciality Coatings or SQM 850
Equivalent should have following minimum properties:Water
permeability (DIN 1048) - Nil as per DIN 1048 @ 5 bar of hydrostatic
pressure, Adhesion in peel Strength(ASTM C 836) > 5 N/mm, Tensile
Strength > 4.1 N/ mm (ASTM D412), Should not be water soluble or
water dilutable, Shore A Hardness > 50 (ASTM D2240), Elongation at
Break > 600 % (ASTM D412), Solids >90%, Low Temperature Crack
Bridging (ASTM C 836) > 3 mm as tested at NABL accredited 3rd party
laboratory. The entire coating operation starting from cleaning and
surface preparation till coating shall be performed under the
supervision of skilled personnel who are well conversant with the
work.

Surface preparation shall be done as per manufacturer specifications

followed by single component PU water proofing coating.

Providing and applying Vata Coving at Junctions of 50x 50mm thick


ii fillet using Cement Mortar mixed with polymer bonding agent as per
manufacturer's specification.

iii PU primer application at 0.2-0.25 Kg/ sqmt.

After primer has dried apply 1st coat of ELASTOROOF PU at dosage of


1 kg per Sq.mtr. Allow it to dry for min 24 hrs. After first coat has
iv dried apply second coat of ELASTOROOF PU at dosage of 0.5 kg per
Sq.mtr .Waterproofing shall be taken covering entire parapet wall
and pedestals, upstands upto min 300mm.

2. All taxes will be extra as applicable on above rates.
3.Space for material storage, labour hutment, electricity, water, Cement, Sand, Aggregate,
RMC will be provided by client free of cost near site.
4. Application will be carried out as per manufacturers specifications.
5. Material testing if required will be in clients scope.
6.Mobilization time: Please allow minimum 12-15days from the date of PO & Confirmation
of payment.

A. Methodology for waterproofing Treatment to RCC surface Using E LASTOROOF PU:

A.CLEANING

 Clean the RCC surface of all loose particles, dust, cement laitance etc. preferably done
using floor polishing machine/ Grinding Machine or any other mechanical tools. Surface
preparation is of prime importance as the degree of performance of the coating is
directly proportional to the extent of cleaning.

 Identify the cracks. Fill the Small Cracks by using Polyfill AR, for Big Cracks, any
honeycombs repairby using Polyalk EP as polymer cement mortar.

 Prepare a Coving (50 mm x 50 mm) at the junction of slab and wall using Sand Cement
and Sunplex Shrinkage Compensating Admixture. Sprinkle cure it for 1-2 days.

 Flood testing to be done before treat area for 48 hours after completion of
waterproofing. Leakages if any observed during flood testing may be treated
appropriately and once again checked by flood testing.

B. Grouting:

 Providing and injection grouting with pump under pressure at construction joints &
other vulnerable junctions with waterproofing cementitious grout admixed with
shrinkage compensating expanding grout admixtures SUNPLEX.

 Mix two pouches of Sunplex (330 grams) per 50 Kg bag of cement. Add sufficient water
for flow ability and grout this slurry under pressures. After grouting cut the nozzles and
seal it with polymer mortar.

C. Waterproofing Chemical System:

 Providing and apply single component liquid applied polyurethane based waterproofing
membrane of ELASTOROOF PU to the entire area at the dose of 1.5Kgs / Sqm

 Apply single coat of SUNPRIME PU Primer with the help of brush and allow it to dry for
2-3hours

 After Primer has dried apply two coats of ELASTOROOF PU a single component moisture
cured, Polyurethane based elastomeric membrane.

 Apply First coat of ELASTOROOF PU at 1kg / Sqm and allow it to cure for 24-48hours

 Apply Second coat of ELASTOROOF PU at 0.5kg / Sqm.

D. Protective screed and Final Finsh:

 After two coats has dried up laying as per average thick waterproofing Protective
screed/plaster admixed with SUNPLEX (330 gms per 50 KG bag of Cement) - Shrinkage
compensating admixture followed by final finish.

 It is recommended to add SUNPLEX Shrinkage Compensation admixture in cement


mortar mix

 Finish the Surface as per your specifications using Screed or BB coba, IPS, China Mosaic
etc.

Note: Final finish such us Screed or BB coba, IPS, China Mosaic etc. is not included in
above item. It will be added as per EIC/Clients Requirements.
