With reference to the discussion had with you, we are hereby sending the quote for waterproofing
works.
METHODOLOGY FOR WATERPROOFING REPAIR
1. The existing loose plastering/screed on the surface shall be removed and repaired with polymer
modified mortar to proper slope.
2. “V” grooves shall be cut along the floor-wall joint and haunching shall be made along the joint
with polymer modified mortar.
3. The area shall be cleaned with wire brush/ mechanical means to remove any loose material, dust,
algae, dirt, etc.
4. Any damages to the coving area shall be repaired with polymer modified mortar.
5. Dilute 2 parts of DR. FIXIT PRIMESEAL with 1 one part of water and apply as the primer coat.
Allow it to dry for 6 to 8 hrs.
6. Apply the first coat of DR. FIXIT NEWCOAT without any dilution and allow it to dry before taking
up the second coat.

METHODOLOGY FOR POLYURETHANE INJECTION FOR SLAB CRACKS
For concrete areas where treatment from top is not possible, Polyurethane resin injection
grouting from ceiling below can also be carried out to treat the leakages. However, this is a
temporary solution and may have to be repeated depending on the extent of porosity.
1. Drill holes of 10 mm diameter around the leakage areas to intercept the leakage path. The
number of drilled holes, position, spacing and depth etc. shall be based on the site situation and
the experience of the specialist applicator.
2. Generally, as a thumb rule one meter square of area may require 10 to 20 injection packers
depending on the extent of leakage.
3. For cracks the injection packers has to be fixed at an interval of 4 inches to 6 inches depending
upon the extend of leakage.
4. Insert the injection packer into the drilled holes and tighten the packer until snug fit occurs.
Additional quick set cementations mortars may be used around the packer to facilitate a much
better fit and to prevent packer failures at higher injection pressures.
5. Commence injection of the SW-PU System into the injection packer using the high pressure
positive displacement, airless, electrically operated pump SD-IL.
6. Injection shall be intermittently continued depending on the injection pressures, amount of
material being injected etc.
7. Continue injection thorough the next packers until all packers do not accept any further material.
Return to previously injected packers to ensure that the areas are completely filled.
Allow the SW-PU to foam and remove all injection packers after 24 hours. Monitor the injected area
locally for any new leakage areas for the next 2-3 days. In the event of new leakage areas at adjacent
locations, install new packers at these locations and inject as above.

1. Screed, etc., along the crack shall be removed, exposing the mother slab to a width of 200mm on
either side of the crack.
2. The slab shall be cleaned thoroughly to expose the cracks on the slab.
3. 25 mm deep “V” grooves shall be cut along the cracks and the same shall be filled with
cementitious non-shrink grout CERAGROUT 40/SIKAGROUT.
4. The area shall be tested to check for any leakages.
5. Two coats of cementitious waterproofing system SIKA TOPSEAL 109HI shall be applied over the
treated area to a width of 200mm on either side of the crack with 40 gsm fibremesh sandwiched
between the two coats.
6. The screed shall be relaid in the area to match the existing finish.
