    The meeting between NEA and Pinggao Group Co. Ltd discussed rates for new pile boring item for Phutung Substation project. Pinggao had offered a rate of NPR 10,000 per RM in a previous letter but was requested to reduce rates further.     Meeting was held to discuss the rates of new item (Pile boring) for Phutung Substation.
    M/s Pinggao informed that considering good relation with NEA, rates have already been
    reduced and final offer has been given vide letter PG/KTCEP-2020-218 dt 27.08.2020 with rates
    as NPR 10,000.00.
    NEA informed that the rate justification given by Pinggao vide mail dt 30 August, 2020 includes
    item like erection, shifting, dismantling of pile rigs etc which are not applicable for mechanized
    Pile boring. M/s Pinggao was requested to further reduce the rates.
    After protracted negotiation M/s Pinggao agreed to give a discount of 2% over the rates offered
    by them vide letter PG/KTCEP-2020-218 dt 27.08.2020. Revised rates shall be Rs. 9800/- per RM
    for pile boring of 750 mm dia.
    It was informed that measurement of pile boring shall be from bottom of pile cap / raft.
    Pinggao agreed.
    M/s Pinggao informed that Initial test and routine test on pile shall be carried as per applicable
    standard and the cost of the same is included in the rates offered.
    NEA informed that the rates discussed as above are subject to approval by NEA management.
