I. Course Name: ENGLISH 2 (STEPS TO FUNCTIONAL WRITING)

II. Introduction
Writing is an important communication skill; it can also serve as an excellent tool for
learning. Writing is the medium of expressing one’s thoughts, feelings and ideas.
This module is designed to help our young learner’s to improve their handwriting through the
following step:
1. Like writing
2. Love writing
3. Live writing
One of the best features of this series is the inclusion of Communication Skills
Integration (CSI) and Character Building Integration (CBI). In addition to improving the pupil’s
handwriting skills, there are other learning opportunities they can work on like:
- Identifying Grammar and vocabulary in context
- Reading sentences, passages, poems, stories, etc. aloud fluently
- Discussing issues related to good values and character building

I am Mrs. MARINA B. MERCADO, your ENGLISH- WRITING 2 Teacher.
Before we start with today’s module, I wanted to introduce to you the QR Codes you can find on
the inside pages of your book. These QR Codes will let you view and/or access teacher’s resources and
other video demo lessons. But make sure you are connected to the internet and please use an up-to-date
QR code scanner using your android/ apple APPSTORE or you can use your latest cellphone camera
to scan the QR Codes.

Let this be our final word to our dear, young learners:
