II. Introduction
Writing is an important communication skill; it can also serve as an excellent tool for
learning. Writing is the medium of expressing one’s thoughts, feelings and ideas.
This module is designed to help our young learner’s to improve their handwriting through the
following step:
1. Like writing
2. Love writing
3. Live writing
One of the best features of this series is the inclusion of Communication Skills
Integration (CSI) and Character Building Integration (CBI). In addition to improving the pupil’s
handwriting skills, there are other learning opportunities they can work on like:
- Identifying Grammar and vocabulary in context
- Reading sentences, passages, poems, stories, etc. aloud fluently
- Discussing issues related to good values and character building
ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITY
Before you start this module, practice your writing on the “PREWRITING ACTIVITY” the
basic writing exercise on your Textbook: STEPS TO FUNCTIONAL WRITING 2, page 5-10 and
do the PRETEST on page 11 of your textbook.
