LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH 9

CONTENT STANDARD: The learner demonstrates of how Anglo-American literature and other text
types serve as means of valuing other people; also how to use processing information strategies; different
forms of adverbs and conditionals for him/her to play an active part in a Chamber Theatre presentation.

PERFORMANCE STANDARD: The learner proficiently plays an active part in a Chamber Theatre
presentation through employing effective verbal and non-verbal strategies based on the following criteria:
Focus, Voice, Delivery, Facial Expressions, Style and Body Movements or Gestures.

sentences into adjectives by removing the – ly, and have them recraft the sentence accordingly.

There are notecards on the desk. Students will take turns picking a notecard from each file and acting out
the action that the cards show. For example, if the cards are “walk” and “stealthily”, the student might
tiptoe carefully around the room, looking around to make sure she’s not being followed.

You will write sentences using adverbs that end in – ly. Then change the adverbs in their
sentences into adjectives by removing the – ly, and have them recraft the sentence accordingly.

G – Your task is to compose a short poetry using vivid adjectives and adverbs correctly.
R – As a teenager you were asked to recall your happiest experience in life.
A – You will present at read your poetry in front of the class having your classmates and
teachers as your audience.
S – Recalling your happiest experience as a teenager, you were asked to compose your short
poetry to narrate and share your experience for your audiences to enjoy it and also to
have some lessons to learned. To have your goal, you should use vivid adjectives and
adverbs to make your expressions more compelling.
P – Your expected product is a short poetry emphasizing the use of vivid adjectives and
adverbs.
S – You will be given two (2) days to conceptualize your ideas to have your poetry and to enjoy it
with your readers, listeners and audiences.
