This module is inspired by persistent and persevering learners like you to cater

There are four sources of information that you may use in your everyday life.
There is news report that will make you updated on what is happening around the
globe. Listening to the speeches of famous people may convince you towards some
particular agenda since it is considered as a very important part of human development.
On the other hand, informative speech is given for the purpose of providing information
about the topic to the audience. While a panel discussion brings together top talents in
one area so that a group of experts can share and build upon each other's experience.
Answer these questions.

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the Philippines

The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a new


strain of coronavirus. This new virus and disease were unknown before the
outbreak began in Wuhan, China, in December 2019.

On 30 January 2020, the Philippine Department of Health reported the first case
of COVID-19 in the country with a 38-year-old female Chinese national. On 7
March, the first local transmission of COVID-19 was confirmed. WHO is working
closely with the Department of Health in responding to the COVID-19 outbreak.
