Primary Task- Mentor Mapping

The mentor-mentee ratio should be equal to 2. But since all the PGP 2 students do not
volunteer for the program, the ratio can be between 2 to 4. The parameters that needs to be
taken into account for mentor mapping are background (field, branch, undergraduate college),
basic details (age, gender, hometown, language, fresher or experienced), area of interest (e.g
sales & marketing, general management, operations and others), company (name, experience,
role) and other questions(stayed in hostel, comfortable having mentor of opposite sex).
Pre-mapping
1. Give chance to self-map the mentor/mentee (Both mentor and mentee should be
willing to team up)
Mapping
1. Segregate based mentors and mentees based on the educational background
2. Put them into different groups
3. Try to match the basic details of the mentors and mentees. (fresher)
4. Try to match the company details of the mentors and mentees (experienced)
5. Then try to match according to area of interest (Note: Most of the students are not
sure of their interest, some change later. So this parameter is given the last priority)
Post Mapping
1. Check the other details of both the mentors and mentees. Address the issue of
opposite gender here. Avoid this combination (mentor- fresher, mentee- significant
work experience)

Secondary Task- Events

1. Arrange the “Know your B-school” session for the WATPI shortlisted candidates.
Explain them about how to go for AWT/ PI preparation. Provide them with relevant
resources. Form the official pagalguy, telegram, facebook group to address common
queries (Many students are not aware about AWT- often neglected in coaching
classes)
2. Arrange “Knowledge Sharing” session for the incoming batch. Students from
different background can volunteer to teach their batchmates. Mentorship cell only
will provide the common platform. All the activities will be co-ordinated by the club.
(Note: This session will not be compulsory)
3. Arrange “Campus Walk” for the upcoming batch. Tell them the stories, arrange for
games and capture beautiful heritage architecture buildings. (once everyone is on the
campus)
