1. Why Niche? What excites or interests you about marketing? (50-100 Words)
Having a work experience in the design domain and being a part of various clubs &
committees in college, I want to understand opportunities available in Marketing
domain. It will help me bridge the gap between classroom teaching and practical
application in the Marketing field by getting associated with cases, simulations, and
events related to marketing.

2. What role do you think marketing plays within the various functions of a company?
(50-100 Words)
The Marketing Department plays a vital role in promoting the business and mission of
an organization. It serves as the face of your company, coordinating and producing all
materials representing the business. It is the Marketing Department's job to reach out
to prospects, customers, investors and/or the community, while creating an
overarching image that represents your company in a positive light.

3. Briefly describe your academic and extracurricular achievements so far (100-150


Words)
In my second year of graduation, I got the opportunity to work in the aero-modeling
club of our college. There I used to design and built planes. Our design was selected
for the international competition which is held in the USA every year. We secured the
first prize in the design report and also came seventh on performance. Besides this, I
was also the placement coordinator at VJTI. I have also played an integral role in
organizing and managing technical workshops. Being part of such events helped me
realize the importance of teamwork, coordination, and good management skills for an
event's success. I did not let my participation in extracurricular activities hamper my

studies, and I maintained an excellent academic record and excelled in my graduate
studies.

5. How do you think you can add value to Niche; and specifically, which cell? (50-100
Words)

I have the experience of hosting technical events, speaker sessions, workshops in the
college. I had also assisted placement cell in contacting new firms as a placement co-
ordinator. This experience will help me to get new clients on-board and interact with
them over social media. I had also increased social media outreach by 30 % of aero-
modelling club of our college. All these initiatives will help me to add value in events
& competition cell.

6. If you had to work on the re-positioning strategy of essential products (grocery or


personal care), which brand would you choose and how would you go about it? (100-
150 words)

I would chose Fair & Lovely Brand of Unilever. I would used


selective targeting strategy to make its product appeal to the respective customer groups. I
will positioned its offerings based on value-based positioning by creating a positive
image about the brand & communicating that the products are safe, effective and
makes the customer feel good about them.
