‫األشكال‪ ،‬وأرضية من الحصى ويمتد نحو كيلومتر يقطعه السائح سيراً على األقدام اذ ال يسمح بإس تخدام‬
‫السيارات أيا ً كان نوعها وفي حاالت خاصة يمكن لكبار السن والذين يتعذرعليهم السير ع بر ه ذا الس يق‬
‫المدهش بإستئجار الخيل أو الجمال أو عربة تجرها الخيول للوصول إلى قلب المدينة المبهر‪.‬‬

‫وفي نهاية السيق ينكشف امام الناظر مشهد يثير الدهشة ويأخذ باأللب اب لجمال ه وس حره وروع ة تكوين ه‬
‫إنها الخزنة المش هورة‪ ،‬لوح ة فني ة مدهش ة إرتفاعه ا ‪ 43‬م تراً وعرض ا ‪ 30‬م تراً منحوت ة في الص خر‬
‫الوردي الذي حين تشرق علي ه الش مس تعكس ألوان ا ً س احرة له ذه اللوح ة الفري دة ال تي تعلوه ا الخزن ة‬
‫الشهيرة‪ .‬ويمتد تاريخ انجازها إلى الق رن األول للميالد حيث ص ممت لتك ون ق براً لواح د من أهم مل وك‬
‫األنباط ولتكون شاهداً على عظمة المكان التي تنطق بعبقرية اإلنسان الذي نحت هذه المدين ة في الص خر‬
‫وقدرته الهندسية الدقيقة والمبدعة ذلك العصر‪ .‬ولتكون تحفة فنية ن ادرة تش هد على عظم ة وحض ارة من‬
‫نحتوها وأبدعوا انجازها‪.‬‬

‫ولعل "الدير" يعد من أبرز المواقع المثيرة والجميلة في الب تراء‪ ،‬حيث يق وم على مرتف ع ع ال وق د نحت‬
‫من الصخر باشكال فنية مبدعة ويمكن الوصول إليه عبر ساللم ودرج يبلغ ع ددها ‪ 800‬درج ة ‪ .‬ويوج د‬

The pink city that the Nabataeans carved into the rocks and made it an
important strategic location formed a link and a meeting point between
the Arabian Peninsula in the south and the Levant in the north to the
heart of Europe and even China on the silk and spice trade route. Entry
into the heart of this city is amazing and exciting, and it can only be done
by walking through the Siq, which is a huge rocky crack, with a side
height of more than 80 meters, of colorful rocks of various shapes, and a
floor of gravel and extends about a kilometer that the tourist going
across walking, it is not allowed to use cars of any kind, and in special
cases, the elderly and those who are unable to walk through this
amazing Siq can rent horses, camels or a horse-drawn carriage to reach
.the dazzling heart of the city
At the end of the Siq, a surprising scene is revealed in front of the
beholder and takes in the hearts of its beauty, charm, and splendor of
composition, it is the famous treasury, an amazing art painting, 43
meters high and 30 meters wide, carved in the pink rock, which when
the sun shines on it reflects the charming colors of this unique painting
above the famous treasury. The date of its completion extends to the
first century AD, when it was designed to be the tomb of one of the
most important kings of the Nabateans and to bear witness to the
greatness of the place that speaks to the genius of the man who carved
this city in the rock and his precise and creative engineering ability at
that age. And to be a rare masterpiece of art that testifies to the
.greatness and civilization of those who carved it and created it
Perhaps the 'Monastery' is one of the most interesting and beautiful
sites in Petra, as it is based on a high elevation and was carved from the
rock with creative artistic shapes and can be accessed via stairs and
stairs numbering 800 steps. There are two museums in this unique
historical site, the first is the Petra Archaeological Museum and the
.second is the Petra Nabatean Museum
