8:00 - 9:00 Wake up! It’s time to start your day. First, make up your bed ,eat your breakfast , take a bath and prepare yourself for a
wonderful day!

9:00 - 9:30 It’s a bonding time with your family.

Monday

9:30 - 11:30 Science Describe the Lesson I. Characteristics and Components of a Scientific Personal submission by the parent to the
Quarter components of a Investigation teacher in school
1:Module 1 scientific investigation
(S7MT-Iab1) Answer the KWL chart. What do you know? What I want to
know? What you have learned?

Read the informative text describing and explaining the

scientific method. Then perform the following activities:
I. Formulate a hypothesis based on a given situation. “I saw
snake eggs underneath the untouched stones beside the
road”. Write down your guess/es (hypothesis/ses) why there
are snake eggs under untouched stones beside the road. List
down 10 answers.
II. Analyzed the data on the table showing the record of the
temperature changes when energy is supplied to a given
amount of water in a container for 10 minutes.
III. Draw a conclusion based on the analyzed data.
Describe the different components of a scientific method through
a flow chart.
Day & Time Learning Area Learning Competency Learning Tasks Mode of Delivery

Given a real life scenario performing a scientific investigation.

Identify the components of scientific method that were used.

Lesson II. Making Thorough Observations

Given a picture write down your observations through your
senses.

Read the difference between qualitative and quantitative

observations and perform these following activities:
I. Differentiate quantitative and qualitative observation through
given observations.
II. Determine the measurements given in each picture of
measuring instruments
III. Given a picture write down your observation and your
inferences.

Fill in the blanks the missing words in a poem about observation

and inferences.

Lesson III. Identifying Variables

Given a situation formulate a problem and make a hypothesis
and identify what are the factors that that you need to consider
before performing an experiment.

Given 2 scenarios of scientific experiments identify what are the

variables involved?

Read the informative text about dependent, independent,

constant and controlled variables. Perform this activity given the
4 scientific experiments identify the controlled, dependent,
independent and constant variables.

and in a set of compounds is composed of elements. Can you identify
the elements found in the given set of compounds?
1. Carbon Dioxide –
2. Potassium Nitrate-

Read the informative text about compounds and elements. Based on

the text. Name new metallic elements and set of compounds that is
not found in the selection.

Elements and Compounds are all around us. (1)__________ are made
up of atom or atoms of the same kind. They are the simplest type of
matter and cannot be broken down into components. Each element is
made entirely from (2)_______ type of atom. Each element is unique
and no two elements have the same set of (3)__________. Some are in
the same state but they have (4)__________ properties. Some elements
are (5)________ like iron, gold and silver. Others are (6)_______ like
Nitrogen, Oxygen and Hydrogen. There are elements that are
(7)___________ like Boron, Silicon and Germanium.
(8) _________ are combination of (9)__________ or (10)____________
elements like water which is a combination of Hydrogen and Oxygen;
salt which is made up of sodium and chlorine; and rusts formed when
an iron reacts with oxygen. Compounds can be broken down into it’s
(11)______ through a (12)__________ process and formed when two
elements are combined together. It has unique properties that are
different from the properties of the elements that make them up.

elements.

Assessment : Answer the multiple choice type of test

Enrichment: You will be engaged and have your

immersion as a garbage collector. Inside the garbage
bin are words that need to be thrown at the dump
site. As a garbage collector you need to save the
following words that describe and show relationship
with elements and compounds. Segregate them by
writing it in the boxes.

Lesson II. Properties of Elements and Compounds

Read the poem “Mr. Purey’s Lab” by Leah Joy A. Desamparado
Answer the following questions:
1. What are the two substances mentioned in the poem?
2. What are the properties of an element?
3. What are the properties of a compound?

In Lesson 1, you identified the properties of a compound and

element. Based on the poem “Mr. Purey’s Lab” Identify some
elements and compounds mentioned in a poem using the given
set of properties

Read the informative text about the properties of

elements and compounds. From the knowledge
learned about the properties of an element and
compound. Let us transfer all the information
gathered from it.
In the given illustrations, identify which are
elements and compounds.
