Course Description

            This course provides deeper exposure to alternative learning environments through online bulletin board
systems or forums, webquests, and blogging.

Webpage design is also included. Individualized instruction modules are also developed through the use of
authority software.

Course Objectives

By the end of the term, the student/s shall have acquired the following skills:

1. Discussing the role of technology in education or learning.


2. Describing alternative learning environments (student-centered learning, multi-sensory stimulation, multi-
media, and information exchange, etc.).
3. Examine advantages and disadvantages of computer-based instruction.
4. Creating online bulletin boards using Visual Principles.
5. Designing instructional-media-enhanced lesson designs, particularly online lessons housed in a course
management system. 
6. Appreciating the value of media in learning.

Grade  = (Student Score / Perfect Score)  x 50  + 50

Course Policies:

1.      All requirements should be turned in on the specified time in the class.  Do not turn in
requirements at the instructor’s house.

2.      Set cellphones in silent mode while the class is going on.

3.      A student is expected to attend his/her classes promptly and regularly.  A student who incurs
absences, whether excused or unexcused, that exceed 20% of the number of class hours required for
the course will be given a mark FA(Failure in Attendance).  A student who comes to class tardy three
times will be marked absent once.

4.      Academic dishonesty will be observed at all times.  A dishonest work cannot be given any
credit.  The student will be subjected to disciplinary measures.

5.      A student who is not wearing the prescribed uniform cannot be accepted to class.  He/She must
get an acceptance note signed by the VPAA.

6.      Examinations shall be taken on the scheduled time.  Only for sickness, emergency in the family or
financial reasons can the student be given special examination at a fee of P30.00 per unit.

7.      The removal policy as stipulated in the Academic Manual shall be observed.

8.      For valid reasons, a student may be allowed to complete his/her grade within six weeks after the
last day of the final exam.
