Essay

Main ideas:
 Protect old buildings
 Teach the importance of cultural heritage in schools

Some people affirm that they do not consider the protection of old buildings that are part
of a cultural heritage important. Unfortunately, not all people appreciate the cultural
wealth that a country can have resulting in a great lack of awareness towards it.
However, there is clear scope for the government to do something about this situation.
In this essay I will discuss two possible approaches that could be taken.
The first of these is to improve the teaching of cultural heritage and its importance in
schools. Governments must implement and support this type of education from the
youngest children because it is the responsibility of the older generation to pass on
cultural heritage to the next generations. In fact, in them is a better future not only of a
respective nation but of the entire world.
A second tactic could be to preserve and protect old buildings. Historic buildings must
be preserved to remember our past so that both native people and tourists can better
learn traditions and customs, which are priceless and irreplaceable. Old buildings are
the legacy of our ancestors and we have to take care of them and respect them as
such.
In my view, creating awareness is essential to achieve success as a society and as a
nation. The more we respect our countries we will live in a better and much more unique
world. I can honestly say that, with more awareness future generations will learn to
care, protect, love, and above all respect their country, and eventually become a better
society.
