1. PURPOSE

This METHOD STATEMENT as a guideline for the installation/ assembly equipment


T-4302, D-4302, T-4701, D-4304, D-4606+E-4606
2. SCOPE
This method covers the installation methodology and step by step, lifting plan to be used
for carrying out installation/ assembly equipment as below:

5.1. Lifting equipment

5.3. Equipment talking-over and checking
- Check the Equipment at its storage place for its Tag No. and for shipment document.
- Check Equipment loose parts as per parking list.
- Check Equipment for any damage. Report to relevant person if any damage or missing
parts are found.
5.4. Foundation talking-over and checking
- Obtain the release Certificate for the civil work.
- Measure the foundation elevation and compare with the Equipment General
arrangement drawing dimensions.
- Measure the foundation dimensions and the distances between the foundation axes and
the applicable horizontal X/Y axes and compare the Equipment General Arrangement
drawing.
- Check if the upper surface area to be grouted has been chipped and brush-cleaned.

5.5. Transportation to site


- Before lifting the Equipment dismantle the coupling bolts and remove the coupling
space.
- All equipment shall be received from contractor warehouse/ laydown area and
transported to construction site by truck/boom-truck/trailer depend on the size, weight,
quantity of them.
- Secure the Equipment on the truck/boom-truck/trailer with turnbuckles/wire ropes so
that it can be transported to the site in safe condition.
- Note: Keep out of any damage during fastening time.
- All loose Items not required for immediate installation shall be specifically indentified.
- During transportation, appointed signalmen shall accompany the trailer in order to
assure safe during transportation.
- Unless absolutely necessary, the vendors preservation shall not be disturbed or
removed. Protective cover shall be removed if any appear damage and equipment shall
be inspected before replacing the covers.
- If any obvious damage to the material has occurred, report shall be raised.
- Before lifting Equipment the support shall be placed on the truck/boom-truck/trailer.
- The position, size and quantity of sleepers/support on the trailer should be determined
in accordance with length equipment and length of the trailer for the purpose of
keeping equipment as specified.
- After unloading Equipment from truck/trailer, sleepers shall be installed with
considering the size of equipment in order to keep the equipment to void the sliding
and damage.
- Applicable type and size of spreader and length and size of wire rope shall be suitable
for lifting and handling of equipment.

5.6. Scaffolding
Scaffolding shall be arranged with 2x6x4.5m at D-4302 Equipment final position.
5.7. Cleaning
- Clean the surfaces of the soleplate that will be in contact with the finished grout to
remove any oil, grease, dirt and rust. (Sandblast and prime if necessary) by others. The
bottom of the soleplate could be painted with Epoxy grout to provide a secure bond of
the sole plate to the finish grout.
- Anchor bolt holes and the bottom of equipment soleplate shall be cleaned and free of
laitance loose particles, oil or grease. Concrete surface shall be chipped.
- Anchor bolts shall also be cleaned and kept out of dirty and rust, etc…
- The internal surfaces of all equipment shall be surveyed for its cleaning condition.
Every precaution shall be taken to prevent foreign matters such as sand, soil, clay and

insulation materials, from entering the equipment during installation work.


- All equipment nozzles prior to connection to piping systems shall be cleaned inside
and outside thoroughly to remove all sand, loose rust, and other foreign matters.
- All tanks, vessels, heat exchangers, pump nozzles, large filters will be visually
examined by field engineer for debris, fluids or contamination prior field installation
- These same components are visually examined for cleanliness prior to final piping tie-
in.
- Both nozzles for heat exchangers and pumps must be left accessible for final cleaning
inspection.
5.8. Marking
- Surveyor will perform to assure that the location and elevation of foundations are
within designated tolerance and to enable the connection of the pre-fabricated pipe
spools to the equipment.
- Appearance of equipment should be checked to ensure that no damage and rust, and as
per technical specification of equipment the number and appearance of auxiliaries.
- Size and position of anchor bolts, and absence of damage and rust on the threaded
parts…
- Compare size of the base side with drawing.
- Certifications.
- Marking for alignment.
- Lifting lug.
- Orientation marking, center line marking, marking foundation axes: N/S and E/W.

6. INSTALLATION/ ASSEMBLY SEQUENCE

The installation sequence can be generally described as following steps:

1. Foundation checking.
2. Chipping and Padding foundation.
3. Final foundation checking.
4. Platform, Insulation Assembly (If have material)
5. Equipment Installation.
6. Orientation adjustment, Centering and Leveling.
7. Anchor Bolt Tightening (80%).
8. Preliminary Coupling alignment (for rotating Equipment).
9. 2nd Coupling Alignment (for rotating Equipment).
10. Grouting.
11. Final Anchor Bolt Tightening.
12. Piping Connection and Accessory Attachment.
13. Lange Alignment for Connected Piping.

7. RECORDING
Quality Control Plan for Mechanical Installation records shall be made and maintained in
QC Form.
8. SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
8.1. Safety
- Safety training will be performed for all construction staff before commencement the
work.
- Labor safety will be earnestly implemented following project HSE requirements.
- If working on high condition (2m high or higher) the safety belts must be applied and
properly used.
- All device operators shall have valid certificates and inspected by authorities parties.
The certifications will be submitted to approve before commencement work.
- All works related to unloading, handling and erection of equipment will be conducted
according to safe practices by the Company Safety Manual, and HSE plan.
- Maintenance and record keeping shall be carried out for all cranes.
- The loads imposed on slings, fittings, etc. shall not exceed the safe working load.
Open hooks shall not be used for hoisting.
- Chains, belts, ropes, etc. shall have valid certificates and inspected before use
8.2. Environment
- Particular care shall be taken to maintain a clean/safe working environment.
- Housekeeping shall be continuously conducted and all wooden timber scrap/packing
material removed from site.
- Equipment shall be regularly maintained and kept free of fluid/oil leakages corrected.
- All produced waste will be disposal of according to approved Waste Management
Plan.
- All paint materials shall be received in the manufacturer’s original containers and
legibly marked with the description of the content. Storage shall be done in dry, clean
and well ventilated areas.
- Paint type, brand name, date of manufacture, batch number and other information shall
be documented for traceability and shelf life.
- The paint shall be thoroughly stirred before, during and after mixing by appropriate
agitator. All paint mixing shall be done according to manufacturer’s recommendation
in clean containers and free from traces of grease or other contaminants.
- The paint maximum shelf life and pot life shall be as per the paint manufacturer’s
recommendation.
- No intermixing of different brand or type of paints will be permitted.
- Coating materials that has gelled or otherwise deteriorated during storage and with
expired shelf life shall not be used.
- No thinner shall be added unless necessary for proper application as recommended or
established by paint manufacturer.
- Blasting abrasives shall be placed on wooden block or other stocking method in a dry
and covered area.
- All blasting abrasives shall be dry and free from contaminants.
