Key questions that may be asked in the introduction to engage learners or to challenge their ideas:
- What do you observe about the size of the shapes when it is translated?
- What about their position and orientation? (all except translation will have a different orientation)

- Play a short round of Simon says with hands (transformation on
Cartesian plane)
- Students will complete a worksheet where they will draw the
effect of translation, reflection and rotation
