OVERVIEW & PURPOSE 

The overview and purpose of this presentation is to inform you of the gradual increase of 
interracial relationships between people.  

EDUCATION STANDARDS 

1. 1.12.11 Analyze how the environment influences personal and community health. 
2. 2.12.1 Analyze how various sources support and challenge health beliefs, 
practices, and behaviors. 
3. 4 .12.2 Communicate acceptance of physical and developmental characteristics of 
self and others. 

OBJECTIVES 

1. Students will be able to define interracial relationships. 

2. Students will be able to understand what are interracial relationships. 
3. Students will be able to identify different types of interracial relationships.

2. Presentation Que Cards

1. Ask students to able to identify the definition of interracial relationships. 

2. Involve students to participate in discussion 
3. Students will be engaged during presentation 

ACTIVITY 

Describe activity that will reinforce the lesson 

Using the whiteboard, students will share personal experiences of when their lives were 
affected with interracial interaction. 

Students will also be able to visually see the presentation and ask questions 

Students will observe a youtube video regarding the historic couple that made history 
when they challenged the supreme court.
