Identify a film/novel/short-story in which an Indian character/characters’ identity or
sense of identity is shaped by their struggle against socio-cultural factors (E.g. gender,
caste, religion, ethnicity), or by soico-political factors (E.g. independence movement,
partition, riots). Analyse how the character struggles to articulate and assert their
sense of identity in about 150-200 words. Submit a written assignment by 5 th
September 2020 on Moodle, by uploading the written word document.
