A.8.3 Main Lateral Load Resisting System

The lateral load resisting system shall ensure the structure stability, deflection and movement limits,
serviceability and human comfort. The core wall constitutes lateral load resisting frame. The lateral
load is primarily caused by wind in this case shall be taken by the inner core walls transferred by the
floor diaphragm. An additional stiffened truss system was considered in skip floors 10 & 18 to
control the lateral displacements of the structure. Gravity and lateral load analysis is conducted
using a 3D model on ETABS software as presented in the figure below.

zation is considered as the pivotal factor for the desithout compromising on the structural
A.8.4 Floor System performance.
 The structural floor system will consist of composite deck slabs. The slab area between the
shear walls has been considered as PT slab. Composite deck slab considered only beyond the
shear core wall areas.
 The most important advantage with this traditional system is the ease of construction which
ensure that local contractors can afford doing this with accuracy without compromising on the
structural affinity.
 The Dimensions of beams and columns are kept almost same (repetitive) at upper level also, as
it reduced steel which is instrumental in reducing the building material cost.
