SALES MANAGER

Responsibilities:

♦ Account Executive for the Division.


♦ Lead effort which results in meeting or exceeding company’s sales and distribution building objectives.
♦ Quickly understand the policies and procedures in which Presence Marketing operates.
♦ Quickly understand the landscape of the natural/mass business in the territory.
♦ Develop and implement effective sales and promotional strategy (the filter) which achieves our
manufacturers financial and brand building objectives, as well as…
Coordinate Market Tours/Training
Obtain Manufacturers agenda
Prepare the representative
Make sure the stores look good
Avoid troublesome areas
Coordinate Spiff Programs
Coordinate Audits/Surveys
Prepare the audits/surveys for the representatives
Meet the manufacturer’s deadline
Review and set objectives for each representative as necessary
Resets/New stores
Make sure orders for these events are processed in a timely manner
Make sure that we have ample staff. First to arrive…last to leave
Participate as necessary
Budgets (Advertising and Retail)
Only when requested by Manufacturer
♦ Work closely with Marketing Manager on manufacturer’s distributor objectives.
♦ Manage:
Outside Sales force
Hiring/Firing
Annual Reviews
Training
Covering vacant territories
Regular visits to each market
Create Goals and Objectives
Monitor the representative’s progress in each marketplace
Weekly – Semi Monthly Conference Calls
Retail Merchandiser
Administrative Assistant
♦ Retail Responsibility
Key Accounts
Submission of promotions
New item approvals
Plannogramming
Training
♦ Coordinate two sales meetings per year
♦ Work with Marketing Manager and/or Administrative Assistant to continue to develop effective sales
collateral, promotional plans and point of sale materials through our database system.
♦ Attend all of the necessary regional and national trade shows and manager’s meetings that may
surround them.
♦ Make presentations for new brands as directed by upper management.
♦ Represent the company at all times in an ethical, responsible and professional manner

Requirements:

♦ 2-5 years food sales management experience. Experience in Natural Products Industry a strong plus.
♦ At least two years experience managing a sales force.
♦ Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to coach and develop.
♦ Team player with positive, “can do/do whatever it takes to get the job done” attitude.
♦ Flexible and entrepreneurial, able to thrive in a continuously changing environment.
♦ Quick learner with solid decision making capabilities.
♦ Innovative, strategic problem solver, results-focused.
♦ Has established relationships with key executives and buyers at major retail chains.
♦ Ability to manage multiple priorities.
♦ Ability to ensure accuracy on all job functions and meet deadlines.
♦ Be creative in assisting with the development of Sales/Marketing Strategies.
♦ Must be able to close sales initiatives.
♦ Travel – 1 week per month.
♦ Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
♦ Must possess strong computer and internet skills, effectively utilizing our database and Microsoft Office
including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
