Wilmont’s pharmacy’s main objective is to deliver medical prescriptions by flying drone. Since this project is not
very complex and the organization is very renowned and has experience in the retail industry, the balanced
matrix organization may be considered most suitable for this project. We may not consider the projectized
organization type in this case since this can not be considered a very challenging project, and this project has a
well-defined scope and deadline. By incorporating the balanced matrix organizational structure in this project, we
can ensure there is a full-time project manager assigned to this project and also the project staff are working only
part-time on the project while still handling their functional responsibilities.

Since DroneTech is an upcoming small firm and this project could be a big break for DroneTech (since Wilmont’s
pharmacy is a very renowned firm in the retail industry), and customer focus is of utmost importance in this
project, the projectized organizational structure would be best suited for such a project. Since this project is
extremely important for DroneTech to be recognized for developing relationships with drugstores nationwide,
dedicated staff would be required to focus on this project. For such a project, the projectized organizational
structure will be the best option since this is a complex project requiring a lot of co-ordination.
