In case of any incidents or accidents happened stop the work and do not try to help immediately
report into your Permit receiver, Foreman or either Supervisors.
Maintain communication with the workers in confined space.
Accounting the personal working in the confined space.
Provide assistance in all sense
Being alert for potential hazards in the work areas.
Calling for assistance if an emergency develops.
Evacuating personnel if necessary.
1) How many classes or types of fire extinguisher and what are they?
A- Are for combustible materials like papers, rugs and woods etc.
B- Are for liquid like diesel, gasoline and alcohol etc.
C- Are for gas stove and electrical fires, like computers and all kind of electrical appliances.
2) If you see a fire extinguisher laying-down in restricted area what does that indicate?
It indicates that the fire extinguisher has been used or not in good condition likes low/under
pressure or high pressure on the gauge.
Immediately report all unconditioned fire extinguisher to foreman or supervisor for any further
replacement. (Normal gauge green)
3) A fire watch is assigned to hot work activity, what he should do before the job start?
To monitor and control possible fire hazards on open flame or any jobs that creates ignition source
like welding, cutting beveling or any hot works activities.
30 minutes is the minimum period of time for the fire watchers to stay on the job site, before the
fire watchers leave he needs to make sure that there is no remaining sparks slags by checking all
welding point.
6) What is your action as fire watch if you have noticed a fire spread in the job location?
Immediately stop any working procedures switch off all the process equipment uses your common
sense extinguish the fire if possible immediately report to your Permit Receiver, Foreman,
Supervisor and Saudi Aramco Issuer/Supervisor. Call emergency hotline (110)
Stand back 4 meters check the wind direction then go upwind or cross wind position.
