1. List down and identify the benefits open space system.
2. Rewrite the open space principles, guidelines to enhance the master plans in
addressing the land development issues; and,
3. Compare the outline of open space development checklist available with other sources in the
Philippines setting.

For topic 2 Exercise 2.1, Answer item 3 only. You need to use the internet to look for the answers.

Topic 3 Master Planning for Public Space

Exercise 3.1
1. Why is master plan comprehensive? Identify the (10) ten variables that makes it to be
comprehensive?
2. Based from the presentation above, do you think there is similarity also in the Philippines?
How and why?
For topic 2 Exercise 2.1, Answer both two items, for item 1 it is just summarizing the topic and then
for item 2, it is more on your observation but this needs to be supported by research papers which you
can find from the internet.
