GUIDELINES FOR CHEERDANCE PRESENTATION

OBJECTIVES: (Teaching Guide: Act 2, p.199)


At the end of the 4th quarter topic in P.E., the students will be able to:
 Conduct a cheerdance festival;
 Promote cheerleading as a means to dance a fit and healthy lifestyle;
 Perform a cheerdance routine with mastery and synchrony, completeness of the routine, and;
 Maintain a healthy and fit lifestyle through cheerdancing.

 CHEERDANCE is only a presentation as part of performance in P.E. 10. Therefore, it’s not a
contest.
 COSTUME is required but does not need to buy/tailored by a seamstress(mananahi)
-Find initiative in order to minimize expenses. Recycle, Reuse and Reinvent are greatly
encouraged
-If planning to rent, should not go beyond 100 pesos.
-Should be modest and wholesome (Bawal Makita o maklaro ang sensitive nga part sa
lawas)
 PRACTICES should be done in school for minimum of one hour (1hour) after class.
-Practices done outside the school and during weekends are prohibited unless there is
an approval of parents and contact person should be held responsible and liable for it (A
parent supervising the practice).
 NO CHOREOGRAPHER is allowed especially if asking for a talent fee. Students will be the one to
choreograph and create their own dance steps.
 Only the BASIC ROUTINE of cheerdance will be showcased in the presentation.
-NO LIFTING WITH ABRUFT FALL
-NO STUNTS (LABAY, TUMBLING, UG UBAN PA NGA DELIKADO)
-NO LEVEL 3 OR MORE PYRAMID
 PARENTS must write a letter of intent allowing their son/daughter from joining the
presentation.
 VIOLATION to this, is subject for a deduction of grades and disqualify from joining the grade
level presentation.
Note: For any clarification, should go directly to the teacher concern in order to address your queries
and as proper protocol.
