Regional Science High Schools implement a
curriculum which is different from Regular
High Schools (which uses RBEC curriculum)
and Science High Schools other than RSHS
(which uses ESEP curriculum) in the
Philippines and Philippine Science High School
(which implements curriculum prescribed by
DOST).
The schools offer an accelerated curriculum for
math, science and information and
communications technology and a custom-made
curriculum tailored for the school in the areas of
the English and Filipino language, social
studies, and humanities, with required courses

Regional Science High School for Region IX, in
partnership with the Local Government Units,
Barangay Council, Parents-Teachers
Association, Supreme Student Government,
Alumni Association and other school
organization and stakeholders commit to develop
responsible and morally upright Science-
oriented leaders through relevant and globally
competitive Science and Mathematics Education
Programs.

Education Competitions were won, names were told, and the
school was branded. Zamboanga City has its
educational treasure, as it beholds the only public
science high school for this region. The commitment of
the school administration towards enhancing and
developing is at its peak, being able to maintain the
school name on top whenever opportunities arise. A
number of research titles have made their way
internationally, carrying the name of not only this

also has a good record on inter-schools’ journalism,

Communications both in English and Filipino. The New Catalyst, for the
English school newspaper and Haylaya, for the Filipino
school newspaper have both maintained their grandeur

teams of both newspapers have made it through the
District Schools Press Conference 2018 (DSPC) and
will soon enter the National Schools Press Conference
2018 (NSPC) in Vigan. The school’s teams for
Television Broadcasting and Radio Broadcasting have
also made their way through the DSPC 2018, together
with selected students from other schools in our city.
