Performance Task for Community Engagement, Solidarity, and Citizenship

Goal
To create an advocacy brochure in order to raise awareness about the current social issues that
Philippines is currently facing and to empower the youth members of the community about
their role in community action.

Role
One of the goals of the SK Chairman in your community is to raise awareness about a certain
social issue. Since you are one of the youth advocates in your community, the SK Chairman
appointed you as the head of the Public Relations Committee. As an advocate and as the
chairman of the public relations committee, you were tasked to create an awareness campaign
about one of the current issues that the Philippines is facing right now in order to educate the
youth in your community. Since you cannot meet the youth in your barangay face-to-face, you
were tasked to make a brochure and distribute it to them.

Audience
Your target audience for this project is the youth members of your barangay.

Situation
The Sangguniang Kabataan Chairman noticed that most of the youth members in their
community is lacking awareness about the issues that is currently happening in the country.
The Chairman also noticed how the youth members of the community are lacking
empowerment with regards to their role as a youth in their barangay.

Product or Performance
You will create a brochure in order to educate and make the youth in your community aware of
a certain social issue and empower them about their role in community action.
