FACT/ TIP: A consonant digraph is formed when two consonants are
joined to make a new sound. When joined, the individual consonant
sounds cannot be heard.
PRACTICE EXAMPLE: Say the consonant digraph sound. th says /th/ as in
three, teeth, thin.
