Galileo VXT – Auto Exposure Test On Plate
Introduction

This document describes the script “GalileoVXT-AutoExposureTest.jse “ allowing to test the auto
exposure stability on Galileo VXT.
Basically the script will image a number of patterns on a plate and for every next pattern the exposure will
change with 20 units. This means that for every pattern to be exposed, the carriage will move to the edge
sensor to set the exposure.
The patterns being imaged on the plate are 2x2 checkerboards and 8x8 checkerboards. For every 2x2
pattern, the exposure will be set to the reference exposure + 20 units and for every 8x8 checker pattern,
the exposure will be set to the reference exposure – 20 units.

Parameter description

Total Count
Total amount of 2x2 and 8x8 patterns to be imaged or total amount of times the engime will perform auto
exposure

Max CountSS
Amount of patterns to be imaged on every row

Example :
Total Count = 100 and Max CountSS = 20. referring to these settings, the engine will image 5 rows of
each 20 patterns
