2. Read new vocabularies correctly. 3. Use present simple to describe on-going events. 4. Role-play a conversation.
Teaching method: Communicative Language Teaching
New vocabs: Swim – sail- dive – surf – kayak – snorkel Grammar: Content (the material of your lesson): Present continuous tense Conversation: Class book page 32 Teacher behavior: The teacher facilitates communication in the classroom. The teacher establishes situations to promote communication. During the activities, the teacher acts as an advisor, answering students’ questions and monitoring their performance. The teacher might be a communicator Students are communicators. They are actively engaged in negotiating meaning even when their knowledge of the target language is incomplete. Students are more responsible for their own learning. Students will be more motivated since they will feel they are learning to do something useful. Student behavior: Students are given an opportunity to express their individuality by having them share their ideas and opinions on a regular basis. Student security is enhanced by the many opportunities for cooperative interactions with their fellow students and the teacher. Students interact a great deal with one another. They do this in various configurations: pairs, triads, small groups, and whole group. - New vocabulary. Components of the lessons: - Conversation. 1. The purpose of language learning is communication. 2. Lessons should contain some Principles followed: conversational activities. 3. The native language should not be used in the classroom. - Authentic materials. Techniques - Role play.
Activities/techniques with examples and illustration:
I brainstorm students about their previous knowledge. I ask them:
Do you like to swim in the sea? I listen to their answers and elicit them. I introduce the new lesson to the students. I Play the CD and students listen and read the new vocabs. Students take turns to ask about the verbs like the example: Do you like swimming? Yes, I do. I ask students to induct the grammar rule, I check their understanding and give feedback. Students roleplay the conversation, change roles, I monitor their performance. I take part in the conversation. I give the students a task to describe an imaginary vacation to a deserted island. Students take turns to explain what they will do and how they will feel. I listen to them and give them the chance for self-correction.

I will have formal evaluation plan you my class. This will help me check for achieving the goals of the lesson.
