will be one of my top priorities for my students.
If there is a device out there that can help my
students to learn I will fill out every grant and
jump through every hoop trying to obtain it for
them. Assistive technology is going to continue
to grow and makes its way into the classroom.
My goal is to always strive to do my best to get
the devices that my students need.
By having a SMART board in my classroom, it
will allow me to use the board as a whiteboard
as well as a projector. By having a board, it
expands my lesson plans to get my students out
of their seats and involved in the lesson. I will
use it for lecturing but also to get my students
to interact with the lesson.
By having iPads in my Special Education
classroom, it will create opportunities for my
students to use applications to assist with
learning. The students will be able to work on a
certain skill while also having fun. An example
of this is a student who has autism who is
working on writing their name and the alphabet
can use a letter app to trace and repeat the
letters.
By getting specific training on how to teach
students through a screen it will allow me to
build the confidence and to become successful
with remote learning. I feel that this is very
important when talking about the future in
education.
