Professional Development Plan (PDP – Part 1):
Shamma Faisal Alhammadi – H00349617

The PDP stands for a professional development plan. It means, according to Guzder (2020), "a
documented record of an individual's career aspirations and progressions". Moreover, creating a
PDP will help the teacher/student teacher develop skills and achieve a particular detailed goal
and include developing skills, challenges, and supports. In my point of view, creating a PDP is
slightly related to creating a lesson plan in the way of being professional, managing, and being
prepared in facing any challenges. As well as PDP, it is required to develop new teaching,
knowledge, techniques, and it keeps changing and updated (Davies, 2019). As a student-teacher,
the PDP will benefit's me in different actions. Such as, developing skills, new methods,
Professional attitude and will help me in the future to become a successful teacher. In other hand,
by creating the PDP will gives me advantages in managing and achieve certain areas that I need
to work on and to build these areas to become more successful and creative. Such as, time
management is one of my goals that I need to achieve, and by using the PDP will helps me as
student teacher in and managing and accomplishing my goal in supporting and using certain
strategies that is related to my goal. Moreover, as a student teacher the goal might takes longer
depending on the ability and the supporting and the students level. However, hard work and
having a different strategy will get the teacher into achieve and more on accomplishing the goal.
In this semester, I will be focusing on my goals that I need to achieve and develop, and these
goals are the feedback from my MST and MCT for the previous semesters I have been trained in
schools.
