PARTICULAR SPECIFICATIONS :
FINISHES
Note: All the external & internal decoration works shall be in GRC wherever
applicable as per drawings, the internal GRC works shall have phinomastic
range of acrylic emulsion paint from Jotun or sigma.

Mosque Building :-
4.2 Main, Side, Back entrance platforms, Ramps & Steps for all buildings: -
(a) Flooring: -
Using anti slip granite tiles of size 60 x 60 x 2 cm for the floor and 3cm thick cut to
size slabs for the steps, the treads shall have decorative nosing with polished edges.
The prime cost of granite to consider as Dhs 300/m2 and for steps Dhs 300 per linear
meter of riser and tread.
-For ramps, Grooves filled with carborandum to be provided.
(b) Walls
Granite skirting, the wall above to be epoxy painted
(a) Flooring: -
Using Mosaic tiles. The basic cost to consider as Dhs 15/m2.

(c) Ceiling: -
Cement plastered surface shall be finished in plastic emulsion paint.
(a) Flooring:
Carpet tiles over Mosaic tiles, basic cost of carpets Dhs 50 / m2, basic cost of Mosaic
tiles Dhs 15/m2.
* Around the Carpet should be Marble as archi. drawings and matching with the wall
marble mentioned in (b).
(c) Ceiling: -
1) GRC. (Good Quality, Design and according to satisfaction of the Owner and
Consultant approval) wherever applicable as per drawings, the internal GRC. works
shall have phinomastic range of acrylic emulsion paint from Jotun or sigma.
2) Gypsum board false ceiling (Good Quality, Design and according to satisfaction of
the Owner and Consultant approval) shall be provided covering all the A/C ducts
(except the middle rectangle below the doom), Cement plastered surface shall be
finished in plastic phenomastic or silk egg shell paint wherever the false ceiling is not
applicable. The Gypsum ceiling shall have phinomastic range of acrylic emulsion
paint from Jotun or sigma.
3) Decorative Quran text around the big dome from inside and outside as the drawing,
sample should be approved from the owner.
b) Wall finish:
Mosaic skirting to match the trades & risers finish and the rest shall be cement
plastered and finished in epoxy paint acrylic emulsion. The skirting width shall be
equivalent to 1.5 times the tread and height equivalent to the riser.
c) Ceiling:
Cement plastered and finished in epoxy paint acrylic emulsion
*Aluminum railing shall be fixed on the staircase and wherever applicable with the
rate of 400 Dhs / m’ including fixing.
*Aluminum ladder shall be fixed inside the minaret as per drawings.
Attached Building: -
Ground Floor
4.6 Ablution area, Pantries, baths & Toilets, also (For Imam & Moazen Wet area
House):
(a) Flooring:-
Using anti slip ceramic tiles 8 mm thick (Granite ceramics are of excellent premium
quality) prime cost to consider as Dhs 30 / m2, Special rubber mat with availability of
water flow shall be provided in the plain area of the ablution room & the toilets hall.
(c) Ceiling:
(i) The cast fair slab shall have primer coat of paint.
(ii) The false ceiling shall be using 600x600mm Gypsum panels cladded with vinyl
from one side and Aluminum foil from other side. The basic cost is to be 40 Dhs\m2.
The level of the false ceiling shall be 60 cm below the roof slab.
a) Flooring:
(i) Using Marble Tiles, Trade& Risers up to first floor level. The prime cost of the
Marble to consider as Dhs. 150/m2 and for steps Dhs. 150 per linear meter of riser
and tread with marble skirting.
(ii) The rest of the stair Using Precast mosaic tiles for the tread and for the riser
(iii) The loose end of the stair flight shall have cement plaster with 8mm x 8mm
groove adjacent to the tile.

b) Wall finish:
(i) Mosaic or marble skirting to match the trades & risers finish and the rest shall be
cement plastered and finished in epoxy paint acrylic emulsion. The skirting width
shall be equivalent to 1.5 times the tread and height equivalent to the riser.
(ii) Contractor to execute one coat of paint for the stair block after initial shifting by
all flats’ users.
c) Ceiling:
Cement plastered and finished in epoxy paint acrylic emulsion.
a) Flooring:
Using Ceramic tiles of basic cost as Dhs. 40/m2.
b) Wall finish:
The wall shall have cement plaster and Phinomastic paint. The skirting shall be of
ceramic.
c) Ceiling;
Plaster and Phinomastic paint.
(a) Flooring:
Using Mosaic tiles. The basic cost to consider as Dhs 15/m2.
(c) Ceiling:
Cement plastered surface shall be finished in plastic phenomastic or silk egg shell
paint.
a) Flooring:
Mosaic tile flooring over 10 cm thick ground slab, reinforced with one layer of BRC
A-142 mesh and the same shall be carried along with-
i) Trenches required for the cables
ii) Channels required to support MDB, SMDB CAPACITOR BANK etc.
iii) Entire flooring and trenches to be done after waterproofing with bituminous
membrane 4mm thick torch apply. Internal surfaces of the trenches shall have cement
plaster and FC140 paint.
iv) All the left-over space after the placement of the item mentioned in (ii) of the
above shall be covered using chequred sheet and the same shall be painted with
approved paint.

b) Wall finish:
Cement plastered wall to be finished with plastic emulsion paint.
c) Ceiling:
Shall have plaster and texture paint.
4.13 O.T. S
a) Flooring:
1- Shall have water proofing as explained in item No. 7.0 of this specification.
2- Mosaic tile of basic cost as Dhs. 15/m2.
3- The required drainage and floor tarps to be provided.
b) Wall finish:
Cement plastered surface to receive epoxy paint over mosaic skirting.
All the external aluminum sections shall be thermally insulated, all glazed
windows & curtain walls are in double glazing as per SHRJAH Municipality &
SEWA Regulations.
5.1 Curtain wall. (if any. in this project)
5.1.1Product:
Fixed glazing to be using four-sided silicon structural curtain wall sections from Gulf
extrusion, Schucco –Germany, Kawaneer – USA, Econal -Germany or equally
approved, with double glazing from specified manufacture with window lights shall
be hinged according to the consultant's approval. The cover cap at end of sections
with walls (Externally) to be stainless steel mirror finish grade 316.
Matching ironmongery shall be provided for all opening lights door panels. The glass
will be held mechanically on the transom by clamping profile which will be dressed
by Stainless steel grade 316 cover clip.
5.1.2. Submittal
Shop drawing, data and samples for Engineer's approval before fabrication as
specified elsewhere.
5.1.3 Standards
Comply with British standards for curtain wall manual for materials, fabrication and
installation of component parts, testing of specimens and performance of the
completed works.
Made design modifications of the work shown only as may be necessary to meet
performance requirements. Variations in details and materials which do not affect
appearance, durability or strength may be submitted for approval. Maintain general
exterior design concept.
5.1.4. Procedures
Verify dimensions of supporting structure at the project site. Work to allowable
tolerances. Co-ordinate works with other sections and provides items to be placed
during installation of other work at proper time to avoid delays in the work.
5.1.5. Guarantee
The Contractor shall provide to the Employer a guarantee for the material and
workmanship of the curtain wall to be valid for a period of 10 years from the date of
the practical completion certificate as issued by the Engineer.
The Guarantee shall be in a format as advised by the Engineer and the contractor shall
be responsible for all fees and expenses associated therewith.
vi) Provide tight joints and effectively seal the component of the windows and their
joints with other works against leakage and air infiltration, Water leakage is defined
as the appearance of water, other than condensation, inside the sealed wall, either
during testing or under actual weather condition.
v) Sound insulation between floors and adjoining rooms: The curtain walling shall be
sound insulated to 50dB, and subjected to laboratory tests to BS 2750 requirements.
vi) The facade shall be made from an approved curtain wall system.
vii) Mullions and transoms would always be located to the building inside. Glazing
therefore will be done from outside.
viii) The glass will be held mechanically on the transom by clamping profile which
will be dressed by Stainless steel grade 316 cover clips.
xi) Vertically the glass will be held by structural silicone "Dow Corning 895” Glass
joints will be sealed by "Dow Corning silicone 797 ". Both sealants will be applied on
site in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendation.
x) Movement joints in the facade will be provided to allow for profiles thermal
movement and building movement.
xi) The facade design will be done as per the parameter stated in the Specification and
Aluminum details shown on the Architectural Drawings.
Aluminum shall have polyester powder coating to the approval of the Engineer with
matching ironmongery (First Quality).
i) Aluminum frames - extruded aluminum alloy sections and sheets to match extrusion
of powder coating. The cover cap at end of sections with walls (Externally) to be
stainless steel mirror finish grade 316.
ii) Joints between vertical and horizontal elements shall be compression joints.
iii) Exterior glazing seals shall be synthetic polymer tape secured by exterior
aluminum pressure plate. Interior glazing seals to be neoprene. No exposed screws to
secure glass into frame.
iv) Other materials for angles, plates, bars, closures, flashings required to reinforce the
installation to be alloys as recommended by manufacturer to develop required
strength of assembly and finish.
v) Fasteners - stainless steel type.
vi) Inserts - hot dipped galvanized steel.
5.1.8. Finish
All aluminum sections to receive a polyester powder coating, shall be given a caustic
etch followed by an anodic oxide treatment to obtain an architectural class 1 anodic
coating. Anodization should by not less than 25 micron thickness.

5.2 All the other aluminum sections are from the above manufacturers or Gulf
extrusions, umbrella sections and the same shall be polyester powder coated and the
coating shall be 60-80 microns.
5.3 All the items must be strengthened, tapped and modified as necessary to receive
ironmongery. All ironmongery shall be of first quality with the sliding slashes fitted
with roller ball bearing type.
5.4 The windows shall be using 10.5cm wide Sections with the provision of fly screen
from inside for all external windows and both the shutters shall be sliding with
locking arrangement .(windows sections to be ready to carry double glazing).
5.5 The sections for sliding door shall be using 12cm wide with fly screen from inside
(if applicable).
5.6 Glazing:-
-Glasses for all windows to be from Ford - USA or equivalent & shall be:
-Double glazing 6mm clear from inside &6mm toughened high reflective
(Versalux 2000) from outside and to be sand blasted.
5.7 Staircase railing to be powder coated aluminum railing . The cost price including
fixing in position to consider as Dhs. 400/- Rmt.
5.8 Aluminum HPL Kitchen cabinets shall be provided for top and bottom by the
lengths shown on drawings, the basic cost of it shall be 800 Dhs \m'. for top and
bottom including gray sardo marble for lower Cabinets., (Total price shall be finalized
as per the rates according to the final kitchen layout) total value of item shall be
considered as provisional sum.
5.9 Contractor to provide aluminum shed to over the water tanks at roof, dimensions
(height, width & Depth) to be 50 cm more than tank dimensions using skin plat for
the top part with suitable slop, sides to be partially closed with 50 cm plate from top,
the shed to be removable to allow for tank maintenance.

6.4 Architrave molding shall be using ash wood of 7 cm width, the design of the same
subject to the approval of the consultants.
All the wood work shall have polyurethane spray using compressor. as per the
consultant's approval. (materials from jotun or sigma).
6.7 2cm thick commercial ply frame shall be used for all A/C ducts. The same shall
be treated with anti termite paint
6.8 Granite threshold (Rosa porino) to be provided with the main doors while
Marble threshold (Perlato Cecilia) to be provided with internal doors.
6.9 Wooden cupboards (For imam and moazen houses) in laminated finish with
mirror as shown in drawings up to false ceiling height with the rate of 350 Dhs/m2

7.1 Roofing and waterproofing for the roof shall be using Combo Roof System by
Roof Care Company
7.2 For Kitchen, Pantry, Balcony, O.T.S, Toilet and bath etc…
Supply and apply FOSROC NITOPROOF 600 as per manufacture instruction.

SERVICES
ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS
GENERAL
The work shall be carried out to the satisfaction of and in accordance with the
rules, regulations and requirements of the supply authority. Where none exist the
work shall be carried out in accordance with the "Current Regulation for the Electrical
Equipment of Building " issued by the Institute of electrical Engineers (United
Kingdom).
The electrical contractor shall serve all notices on the supply authority for testing,
pay all fees in connection therewith, and should any additional charges be made for
re-testing, they shall be paid by the electrical Contractor.
Circuit list shall be provided inside all distribution board etc, clearly marked in
Indian ink.
Electronic Clock fixing and Water Cooler Fixing is contractor scope of work.
Electrical Point has to be fixed for give power for Audio system. Contractor
should make installation of the point and also has to mention and take approval
of required load for audio system in shop drawing.
The consulting engineer shall have full power to require any material or work to be
tested at the electrical contractor's expenses in order to prove their soundness and
efficiency.
The cable, conduit and sheaths shall be tested for insulation and continuity as the
work proceeds, before any connections are made to the switch and distribution board
terminals. In case any materials or work shall, with or without being tested, be
considered defective, such work shall forth with be amended in a proper and
satisfactory manner on being notified by the Consulting engineer. Where certificates
are required from manufactures of specialized equipment, before handing over the
Electrical Contractor will pay all charges incurred on obtaining these certificates.

The position of all points and equipment shown on the accompanying plans shall be
assumed correct for the purpose of tender but it is the Electrical Contractors
responsibility to check the positions with the drawings which will be available on site.
Any variation of position or height may allow without extra charge, unless such
alterations are made after conduits, cables etc are fixed.
The Electrical Contractor shall submit shop drawings showing all details and
samples of Electrical Accessories as required by Consulting Engineer and shall be
approved before starting work at site.
Surface/recessed mounted type switch gear and distribution board suitable for
conduit or cable entry as required and shall, where specified, be mounted on the
building structure by means of suitable mild steel straps or angle iron frames. In the
case of distribution boards or switch gear required to be directly attached to brick
work etc... the fixing shall be by means of grouted in bolts, or bolts of the expansion
type.
Barriers of fire proof materials shall be fitted between all phases and neutral.
Any live metal in the distribution board shall be screened with the insulation material,
so that circuit breakers can be withdrawn and replaced without any danger to the
operator.
The circuit Breakers shall be situated to allow wiring to the carried out with
sufficient slack to enable them to be removed for inspection without disconnecting
any circuit wiring.
Where single core cable enters or leave any item of metal clad switch gear,
distribution gear, etc. the cable core shall all pass through the same aperture in the
enclosure or case of the unit concerned, to avoid the setting up of eddy currents.
Where separate holes are provided by the manufacturer for the slot, or alternatively
the holes shall be joined together with saw cuts through the solid metal separating the
holes. In all cases the plates shall be of non-ferrous materials
The Contractor shall submit test certificates such as ASTA or as issued by any
other independent testing authority confirming the declared short circuit rating of
switch board and circuit breakers.
Contractor should Provide Electrical Points at Roof also.
Separate Electrical Meters should be fixed for Imam or Moazan Houses.

Main distribution panel (s) shall be equipped with all necessary circuit breaker
and components with enough spare outgoing for any future use as per drawing.
All ACB'S shall be tripe-pole withdrawable type. They shall have manually
and electrically D.C. operated spring charge closing mechanism and three duel-
magnetic (low time delay) and instantaneous over current trip devices unless specified
otherwise (such as short time-delay for selective tripping)
Electrically operated-breakers shall have a push button on the escutcheon of
the breaker. All the incoming and outgoing circuit breaker shall have enough change
over auxiliary contacts.
All ACB'S shall be temp. compensated at the manufacturers works to give the
current rating indicated on the drawings at 50-degree C. non-compensated breaker
will not be approved. A formal certificate will be required from the manufacturer
confirming that the breakers have been suitably temperature compensated.
The contractor will be responsible for the ensuring that any back up (current-
limiting) fuse protection is provided in circuit breaker switch boards as necessary.
Any such current limitring fuses shall be appropriately labeled to indicate their
function.
The cubicle shall be front operated with a mechanical on/off position indicator
and shall be designed and tested in accordance with relevant standards. The cubicle
shall be capable of being extended in either direction for future MCCB'S as necessary.
The main incoming supply shall be complete with an ammeter, CTS, phase to
phase voltmeter. Each meter shall have a phase selector switch and indication lamps
and set for main incomings supply.
The switch board shall be complete with adjustable gland plates, lamp, cable
boxes for the incoming and outgoing circuits. There shall be adequate channel frames
drilled or slotted for ease of assembly, to support cable tails, clamps and terminations
within the cubicles. All entries and opening shall be vermin proof. All line
conductive parts shall be shielded in such a manner that they cannot be accidentally
touched when the doors are open.
The degree of protection of the switch board enclosure should be IP31 or above.

These shall be self contained, rust proof, durable stoves silver-gray hammered
enameled, cubicle pattern sheet steel units complete with circuit breakers of the size
and rating required to meet the power demand (as per approved drawing). All
distribution boards shall contain an integral main isolator/ MCCB appropriate
capacity. The short circuit capacity of the distribution boards shall be rated to
withstand the short circuit level of the position installed.
A sub-feed neutral assembly with a removable link for isolation shall have
available as an integral part of the distribution board. Earthling bar assembly shall
also be available to felicitate the connection of earth continuity conductors.
Door locks shall be fitted as standard to all distribution boards and all the
locks shall be keyed alike. The degree of protection of the switch board shall comply
with BS- 5490 and IP 31 OF ice 529 or upgraded to meet the requirement of particular
location
The MCB Distribution boards shall be flush-mounding type rust proof sheel
units, complete with miniature circuit breakers providing thermal over load and
magnetic short circuit protection and ICB's as shown on the drawings. The assembly
shall comply with BS - 5486 part - 12
The MCB shall be mounted on either d phase or single phase or split bus bars
as appropriate. All MCB distribution boards shall be provided with an integral main
isolator/MCB with the capacity as shown on drawings/schedules. All spaces which
are not provided with breakers shall be covered with blank plates. As standard items
all MCB hoards shall be provided with permanent circuit identification chart to the
approval of the Engineer.
A final sub circuit neutral assembly and an earthing bar assembly shall be
available to the felicitate the connection of neutral conductors and protective
conductors respectively.
ELECTRICAL
MATV/SMATV SYSTEM
*Provision in each flat (Imam & Moazen Houses) for Digital system is
to be provided.

ITEMS EXCLUDED
Note:
1) Electrical contractor has to put all the conduits even for low current services while
concreting the slab or open conduits above false ceiling or in wall.
2) Consultants reserve the right to change the location of DB inside the flat as per the
site condition. The Electrical contractor has to do the same without any cost
variation.
4) The Electrical contractor has to do the testing and commissioning of the entire
electrical system as per I E E / S E W A rules and regulations and up to the
satisfaction of the consultants' engineer. Any item which is not mentioned in the
specification / drawing and is necessary for the successful operation of the electrical
system, electrical contractor has to supply and install the system without any extra
cost.
5) Contractor has to provide cable tray for taking the cable from G.FL. electrical room
to upper floors

Water Tanks should be as per approved capacity and can be of type G.R.P or Polycon
but at least of 4-layers and should be approved from authorities. Under Ground Water
Tank should be by concrete and water proof on both sides and account antiseptic
substance. Openings on Water Tank should be as per approved drawing.
Transfer pumps to pump the ground water to the overhead tank placed on the terrace
shall be of required capacity and in two no’s (one as stand by) - (GROUNDFOS OR
BIRAL) the pumps to be vertical type and approved by consultants
bath set with mixers to be in the range of 1500 Dhs for each flat's bathroom ,1000 for
each toilet & 400 for each ablution toilet and to include:
(i) Pedestal type wash basin.
(ii) Water closet.

(iii) Bidet.
(iv) Bath tub.
(v) Soap tray
(vi) Basin shelf
(vii) Toilet paper holder
(viii) Hanger hooks
(ix) Mixtures required for the ceramic fittings mentioned above.
Notice: - 1-The Water faucet for Ablution should be self-closed timer.
2- The contractor must provide a longitudinal handle (stainless steel
grade 316) over the ablution faucets to lean on it.
Every wash basin shall be provided with 90 x 60 x 0.6 cm mirror (Belgium made,
High quality) with 2.5 cm beveling all around, to be fixed with stainless steel hungers.
- Kitchen sink shall be with double drain board & two bowls (German made)
- The sink shall have stainless steel long neck heavy duty mixer- GROHE
- Angle valve shall be provided for all hot and cold water out let - Grohe - Germany
All the water supply system shall be tested for 10 bar pressure for 24 hours in the
presence of consultants' engineer.
-Water heaters for kitchens can be fixed as 50 Gallons, for Bathrooms and Ablution it
should be 80 Liters, and type can be Europlus / Atlas or Equivalent.
All the water supply pipes at roof area to be identified in accordance with the colors
and code indication of BS. 1710.
DRAINAGE:
All the manhole covers shall be heavy duty (double seal) grade A for parking area and
for non parking area grade B (double seal) RSI - India. For sizes refer drainage drg.
Drainage shall be using UPVC pipes and fittings- national for sizes. Ref. sanitary drg.
- All man hole inside the building shall be dry man hole - Hepworth - U. A. E.
- All the manhole covers inside the building shall be aluminum - recessed type
- Floor traps shall be UPVC with cover of approved make or as instructed by the
consultant- Hepworth -UK.
- Separate drainage system has to be provided for all open to sky area in the building.
All length of drains shall be tested for water tightness by means of water pressure
and for the straightness of possible blockages, to the satisfaction of consultant’s
Engineer. The tests shall be applied before the drains are surrounded in concrete or
aggregate protection and the satisfaction of the engineer shall be confirmed in writing
as a record. Prior to practical completion and with adequate notice to the engineer the
complete system will be proven by the contractor by testing in accordance with
standard testing procedure in the pressure of consulting engineer.
- Future connection with Sewer Line, provision has to be fixed as per approved

- Roof water tanks shall be as shown in the water supply drg.Using panel type tank of
capacity mentioned in the drg. and approved by consultant .
- PVC Pipes of required size for the refrigerant & drain to provide for the Air-
Conditioning wherever instructed by the consultant.
- Contractors shall submit shop drawings for the plumbing work before starting the
work at site and all the plumbing fixtures and accessories shall be approved by the
consultant prior to the commencement of the work at site.
-water heaters to be Ariston glassline.
Scope of work include supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of dry and wet
riser system as per Sharjah Civil Defense requirements and as per the approved
drawing and up to the approval of the consultants.
Where shown on the drawing, a dry riser two inlet breaching valve assembles shall be
provided in a dry riser inlet box.
The breaching shall be a 100mm two inlet type, horizontal pattern with 65mm male
instantation inlets, caps and chains back pressure valves and 25mm drain valve all as
manufactured by Angus / Unitor / Sukar or as equal approved.
At each floor level dry riser landing valves shall be supplied and installed as shown
on the approved drawing. The valves shall be manufactured in gun metal and shall be
of the gate pattern.
Fire fighting equipments - Angus / Unitor / Naffco or equal and approved by the
consultants.
Fire fighting pumps - Naffco or equal and approved

For internal Fire alarm system i.e. Fire alarm inside the building:
The scope of work includes supply, installation, testing and commissioning of fire
alarm system as mentioned herein and as per the approved drawings up to the
satisfaction and approval of consulatnts.
All the fire alarm works has to be executed by specialist fire alarm contractor
approved by Sharjah Civil Defense / consultants.
The fire alarm contractor has to prepare and submit work shop drawing to Sharjah
Civil Defense / consultants and has to get approval before commencing work at site.
The fire alarm system shall comprise of a multizone control and indicator panel,
smoke and heat detectors, manual break glass units, alarm bells, batteries, and
chargers, Fire Blankets, all as indicated in the drawings, and shall be complete with
all necessary connections, accessories and wiring to give a completely reliable and
satisfactory system designed to operate on 24 volts DC.
The alarm system shall be designed to cover zones as detailed in the drawing. In any
zone of the building, the manual breaking of a break glass contact or automatic
operation of heat or smoke shall give a visual and audible alarm signal at the indicator
panel, and shall simultaneously ring local alarm bells in the particular zone.
All equipment and components of the alarm system shall be ordered from one
approved manufacturer. The supply, installation and commissioning of all fire alarm
system shall be to the approval of the Civil Defense Authority and consultant's
engineer.
The contractor shall provide the consultant's engineer with the schedules of equipment
and comprehensive wiring diagrams of the alarm system proposed and shall obtain his
written approval before orders are placed.
The control and indicator panel shall be designed and constructed to the requirements
of BS 5445: 1977 and BS 5839 part 4:1988. The panel shall be located in a suitable
and approved position.
The panel shall be of the illuminated lamp type designed for surface or flush
mounting (to be approved by the consultant) and shall be equipped with all necessary
supervisory alarm, buzzers, indicators, pilot lamps, switches, relays, push buttons, etc.
The panel shall be arranged to indicate where the alarm initiated.
2.1 On receipt of manual or automatic fire signal in any zone the following shall
occur:
All smoke detectors shall be complete with mounting junction boxes and red LEDS
for indication. In addition, in areas such as ceiling voids, Electrical and Lift Machine
Rooms, each smoke detector shall be connected to an LED which shall be located
outside each area.
All call points shall be finished stove enameled Red and shall be complete with an
instruction plate lettered “FIRE SMASH GLASS".
All call points shall be surface mounted at a height of 1.400 m above F.F.L. at
approximate location indicated in the approved drawing.

All bells shall be surface mounted at a minimum height of 2.30 m above F.F.L. at
approximate locations as indicated in the drawings.
8.0 WIRING
The whole of the wiring shall be carried out in flexible fire resistant cables of
minimum corss- sectional area 1.5 mm2. The limit of voltage drop under full alarm
load shall not exceed 1 volt.
All fire alarm wiring shall be completely segregated from all other wiring in the
building.
The alarm system shall be designed to avoid radio interference in excess of the limits
specified in BS 800. Interference from lighting and power supply transients shall be
kept to a minimum.
Subcontractor should follow civil defense design drawing and should prepare shop
drawing and take approval from civil defense. Also contractor is responsible to get
NOC from civil defense for his scope of work. Fire Pump should be fixed if specified
by Civil defense.
Fire Pump should be UL Listed or Non Ul as per approved design, and supplier
should be approved from civil defense.
All Warrantee Certificates and Required letters to be submitted to consultant for shop
drawing approval from civil defense and to obtain NOC from civil defense.
In General, Central air-conditioning system for mosques, and separate units may be
adapted for small mosques. In the case of installing split units (air conditioners), they
must be 2 tons, and Central air conditioning is from 3 machines or more and the type
of air conditioning must be approved by the department of Islamic Affairs. In Imam
or Moazan House Split Decorative units can be installed. But The air conditioners
should be of excellent quality.
For Central air-conditioning system brands are of (SKM), Carrier, Rheem or
equivalent.
For Split Decorative units brands are of Rheem, Carrier, O General or Equivalent.
At Roof Out Door Machines of Air conditioning units should be away from parapet
for Maintenance easiness. Aluminum Metal covers should be fixed on return air grills
to resist for weather conditions.
All Ducted split units thermostat should be fixed at consultant specified locations.

All diffusers for Exhaust System should be of 30x30 and color should be matched
with Ceiling. Opening should be covered with Louver cover and Should be approved
from consultant. Color of external louver Cover should be matched with elevation
Color.
Brands can be accepted as Xplaior, Casals, Vortice or Equivalent.
Ceiling Fans can be fixed on the places of shelter and bathroom lanes Supply and
installation of Japanese National / English Relay (56 inch) fans or the like, according
to the drawings is in contractor scope.

-TRANSFORMER
AUDIO SYSTEM:
The contractor shall supply and install a complete system for headphones and internal
radio, including microphones and devices during work execution.
As per total covered area audio system should be effective. Supply and Installation
for Audio system should be as per British specifications and the internationally
recognized audio systems specifications, and approved from department of Islamic
Affairs.
Spoken word internally needs less than 1 watt per person.

CCTV SYSTEM:
CCTV Systems should be fixed as per UAE Regulations. CCTV System monitor
place can be decided. Numbers of Cameras should be decided as per Consultant
approval. Cameras shall be ½” color high resolution PAL System CCD devices with
wide angle auto iris lenses and auto/manual white balance.
Cameras should be suitable to work at temperature 45’C and 100 % humidity.
Cameras should provide clear pictures at a light level 4 lux. External cameras should
have metal cover of IP 65 Rating.
Necessary mounting or bracket’s for Cameras installation shall be included in
contractor scope.
Multiplexer should operate in duplex mode providing live monitoring and
encoding/decoding.
LIGHT FIXTURES:
Light fittings will be chosen by client. Contractor should take approval of selected
items from SEWA in shop drawing.
Selected light fittings and lamps should be long lasting and approved from authorities.
External lights should be fixed with timer switch in DB for automatic operation.
At ground there should be projector lights as specified.
Selection of light should be based on approved load as per approved drawings.
Light color temperature can be 6000k or as per client choice and consultant approval.

Light brands :
Cable for connection should be for power and control to connect all flash heads with
central controller. Cable has protection against Electro Magnetic discharges and
fields.
Contractor can apply BMS system for Big Mosques as per Consultant Specifications.
The contractor must take approval for all samples, drawings, materials and details
from the department of Islamic Affairs before work Execution.
