Impact of Technology on Recruitment:


• British American Tobacco is always up to date technologically. They have their official
website where they post job offers whenever there is a position vacancy. 
• BAT usually collects soft copies of resumes of candidates through their website and
then they call in a few for interview after shortlisting and doesn't follow the e-centric
recruitment. But for this pandemic, BAT is recruiting interns by e-centric recruitment.
• BAT also portrays their job offerings to third party sites like bdjobs.com, chakri.com.
And the sites inform BAT when candidates with desired qualifications responds to the
job offers.
• Along with third party websites, British American Tobacco Bangladesh also uses social
networking sites like Facebook and Linkedin to connect to potential candidates and also
to make them aware of current job offerings.
• BAT is also using radio for a long time to advertise their job offerings to targeted
audience.
• The most important impact of technology is that it helps BAT's HR manager to collect,
manage and filter files and resumes of candidates saving hundreds of work hours.
Through technology, scoreboards can be set through which the candidates can be
ranked without any form of biasness.
